The rooms were spacious and property itself was well preserved and perfectly styled. The location was perfect in the heart of the old town, and walkable to most places and an easy uber down to the beach. We’d recommend this hotel as a base to explore Salvador! "

"2 noce, i obie w różnych pokojach. Pierwsza noc w pokoju z widokiem na zatokę, druga z balkonami z widokiem na ulicę. Obiekt, stary, kolonialny z historią, ma swój niepowtarzalny urok ale też i wady z racji na swoją historię. W momencie arę czysty, bez robactwa, i z wspaniałym śniadaniem. Minusy są 2, w obu pokojach, klimatyzacja ledwo chłodziła, cały czas był przy tej temperaturze, zaduch w pokoju. Drugi minus, to osoba z rannej zł aby za biurkiem. Patrzył na wszystko jak policjant, podczas śniadania jego wzrok powodowal że nie wiedzieliśmy czy możemy jeść czy nie. Wydaje mi się że taka postawa może zniechęcić klientów, sami niejednokrotnie zastanawialiśmy się czy nie zmienić hotelu bo źle się czuliśmy w jego obecności. "

"If you are considering booking this hotel, I need you to remember that it’s okay to stay at home. I stayed here two nights and it was awful. The rooms lacked windows and had terrible air circulation. There was a fan that was very dusty and loud and so you could not leave it on. The sheets and towels are also very cheap. They malted on my clothes so they were covered in white fluff by the end of my trip. The area is also said to feel unsafe at night because there are abandoned buildings with squatters in them. I don’t recommend. "

Americans and Europeans should learn more about cultural and living standards before going so as not to be shocked by room layouts and bathroom designs and bed placement as well as lack of face cloths. Also, lack of screened windows. Refrigeration prep and ice buildup are concerns. I was very pleased with the flexibility of owner and staff. They all showed concern and looked after my travel companion and me. I loved the location and access to a myriad of transportation, recreation, culture, cafes, shopping, entertainment, educational sources and resources. Overall, my stay was magnificent! "I had planned to stay at this apartment with my wife and another couple. when we arrived at the apartment 4 days before the other couple we discovered that it is listed as a 3 bedroom, but it is a one bedroom with 3 beds. It was not what we were looking for and the other couple rented a second apartment from Jose in a different building. Unfortunately, maintenance work was being done in the city that affected the water service and jose did not tell us about it in advance. we would have made other arrangements to stay somewhere else that had water had we known. Water service was restored four days into our trip and because a sink in the apartment above ours was left open, I woke up at 3 AM to the apartment being flooded. I had to find another apartment to stay in for the rest of my trip."
