"Hotel is extremely well located for the Kelpies. Free car parking is great, and as close as the paid parking in the Helix park. Kitchen is a bonus although limited to microwave and toaster, but fridge is also handy. Plenty of eating place close by - we had a Wetherspoons tea a 5 min drive away, and McDonald's breakfast only 2 mins max. Our smart TV didn't work but staff quickly moved us to a new room. While mid way through a film on youtube, internet connection went again - not sure if we were unlucky or if this was a wider issue. I've stayed here a few times and staff are absolutely lovely, and more than helpful."

"There was plenty of parking and the hotel is just a short walk to the town centre, plus there is a lovely park just opposite the hotel. The room was not large but spacious enough. The bathroom was spacious and had a full bath with overhead shower. They did not leave two towels the first day but not an issue. The bar/Restaurant was very large and there was two coaches staying at the hotel but plenty of room in the restaurant. The staff were very helpful and the menu had a good selection and the food was very good. The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from and was contently topped up. Although a bit pricy I would have no problem staying again if in the area."

"Room was very basic, just a sink and a wall rack with some coat hangers on. There was a tv but I don’t really watch tv. Walls could’ve done with a coat of paint but the carpet was clean and the bedding also. Pretty much the cheapest I could find in the area and I was only there for one night so was perfectly adequate for my needs. Toilets and showers were in the halls of the hotel, not in room so if you’re fine with that, good. Don’t be expecting Premier Inn style in room amenities. A couple of toilets and I think a shower room were out of order but this didn’t cause any issues at all. Staff were very friendly and polite, couldn’t have asked for more. There was an ample kitchen space with fridges/freezers, kettle, microwave and even a couple of hobs for cooking. Overall I was happy with my stay and would use this business again, although if I’d had my kids with me I would’ve probably wanted bathroom amenities in my room. For short stays of a few days I would definitely recommend, for longer stays or travelling with younger children I would want an in room bathroom."

"The room was small but clean and well set out. Our first room was very small but thomas moved us next day to a slightly larger one. Bathroom and kitchen very nice."

"We were on a narrowboat vacation out of Falkirk and used this as our first night so we could get to the wheel early the next day. The host was great ("the secret to locking a door in the UK is to hold up on the handle while you turn the key") and there was a small Indian take-away shop a few doors down with good prices and friendly service- I now love Irn-Bru. Thanks to our host for a restful start to an excellent holiday."

"Great place to stay. Clean and the facilities were excellent. The only thing I would point out is the kitchen is shared with other rooms. Having said that the kitchen has 2 large fridge freezers enough to accommodate the other rooms."
