"Disappointing stay - room was described as 'deluxe' but was on the small side and being up in the eaves of the roof meant one of us had to duck to get in and out of bed. No turn down / refresh on day 1, no waste bin, small but basic things - especially at the price paid. Staff although friendly, were difficult to find (only available via WhatsApp ??), reception never staffed. Overall a great a shame as the hotel has a beautiful setting and grounds. We wint be returning. "

"Clean comfortable room although basic. We were up in the eaves so had to sit in the bath to shower which wouldn’t work for a tall person! However the food was absolutely amazing and really good value. Would definitely recommend."

"Great spot to break up the journey when travelling through the countryside. Very friendly staff, good breakfast to start the day and our room was huge. We only stayed the night and it lived up to its name as we rested and were thankful!"

"A beautiful little property situated perfectly being just over an hour for either the North or South of Devon. The property is very original and quaint. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. It was nice hearing about some of their history."
