Great stay in Thomas

Exactly what our family of 4 needed in a home base for an impromptu ski trip to Canaan Valley area. Clean, well thought out, everything in good working order. Would stay again.

Thoughfil and Trouble free

The Fox Den was a perfect place for our short stay. The rooms were stoked with everything we needed and were quite cozy for our small family. We had a lot of fun with the arcade cabinet! Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Almost Heaven, WV

The Fox Den met all our needs. It was clean, comfortable and had great indoor and outdoor living spaces. It was located in Thomas, within walking distance of the downtown area. Davis was just two miles South, with another fun shopping/dining area, and the local Shop & Save. Our plans involved hiking the state high peaks of MD and WV, and The Fox Den was very convenient. Everything we needed was available at the lodging, including a fire pit with precut logs available, a picnic table, and a Pac Man video game! Highly recommend!

Nice Getaway

Everything about this place was great except for the noise from the people staying in the room above us. They were very active late at night and early in the morning. You can hear everything. Next time, we will probably stay in a place where no one is above us.

We enjoyed our stay and the comforts of the Fox Den! It was a great base camp for daily mountain adventures and we appreciated the cleanliness, the outdoor space and the fully equipped kitchen. The only downsides of our stay include the noise from the upstairs renters—we had a hard time sleeping because you could hear their every movement and it lasted into the early morning hours. We also wouldn’t recommend walking to downtown Thomas from the unit because there isn’t a sidewalk and the unit is located on route 32.

Great space and location

This was a cute new property within walking distance to the Purple Fiddle! Very clean and great host! The only downside was the volume of the apartment above us. You could hear everything - they had a dog and small child that were very active by 6 am :( Other than that.....it was AWESOME!!!

Great little house

Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need including coffee and condiments. Owner was quick to respond to any questions. We enjoyed the outdoor space and played lumberjacks with the log splitter and had a fire and picnic. The only complaint would be the deck. While spacious, I thought we would be able to hang out there if it rained. It’s not a waterproof roof as I was expecting. Definitely could not sit out in the rain. Overall, a great experience and I would stay there again!

Just about perfect

The decor was really cute (loved the fox den theme) and it met all of our needs. It was very well stocked. I love to stay in a place that provides coffee, spices, some condiments and plenty of bathroom tissue, laundry detergent, etc. We enjoyed the cornhole and the outdoor space. Location was near a lot of things to do. We went to Blackwater Falls, Seneca Rock and several other points of interest. While we were within walking distance to a few restaurants and bars, the unit is on a highway and I would not recommend walking anywhere at night. Overall a great place to stay and it met all of our needs. Would 100% stay here again if we're ever back in the area.

We had a nice stay at The Fox Den! It was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. It was a short drive to lots of points of interest. We enjoyed trying out area restaurants and walking through the towns of Davis and Thomas and Blackwater State Park.

The Fox Den was a nice short walk to downtown Thomas, which although not big, has what you need to grab morning coffee, lunch and music/drinks in the evening. Despite being on the main road, the Fox Den was very quiet and easy to get in and out of.

The property is located along the main road outside of Thomas. Downtown Thomas and Mountain State Brewery are within waking distance. The house was very clean and has a nice outside area with a community fire pit and a picnic table. We will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect Spot in Thomas

We had a great stay—everything was exactly as listed. The house was clean, cozy, and in a perfect location within walking distance to all the downtown Thomas fun. The outdoor space with the deck, picnic table, and fire pit looked amazing—wish it had been a little warmer so we could’ve enjoyed it more. Would definitely stay again!

The house was very nice!! It had everything we needed in the kitchen except an air fryer. The neighbors up stairs were very nice. The only thing is that you could hear there every foot step. Other then that we had an amazing experience. Beautiful house and wonderful views.

A MUST STAY!! The Fox Den is by far one of the best places we have stayed! The attention to detail is amazing! The place seems as if it is brand new! Kitchen has everything you need, bathroom is well stocked and spacious and the beds are so comfy that I am planning on contacting the host for the brand! Loved playing PAC-Man and the outside area is a ton of fun!! We will definitely be staying here next time we are in town to see a show at the Purple Fiddle!

Ski Trip Washout

The Fox Den was a perfect place for a relaxing stay while salvaging broken plans for another ski trip. Our original plans were washed out by rain Sunday, and the slopes closed for the rest of the week. We felt very much at home!
