The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful on our check in and check out. We stayed in the junior suite which was a lovely space with character including exposed lovely wooden beams over 100 years old and decorated with wonderful sketches and tasteful suitcases in the stairways. The space is economically and efficiently used with very little waste. The rain shower always makes me happy and the air conditioning was a must have in the hot summer evening. An elevator led us to a second floor and then stairs up to our room adjacent from one other room in this boutique hotel of only 15 individually designed rooms which makes for a quiet and private stay. We didn’t have a chance to try the restaurant which was highly rated. The buffet was included and adequate for our needs. There is a grocery store directly adjacent as well as a gym if you are willing to pay a drop in fee. The old historical streets are less than a ten minute walk away with plenty of restaurants to choose from along the promenade. If you fancy a dip in the river you can join many others enjoying themselves jumping and diving in during the hot July evenings. There was even a large Ferris wheel and live rock band the night we were out. Very entertaining! I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice change of pace from Zurich.
