"A beautiful farmhouse shaped like a fortress just outside of Calitri. The host is very accommodating and helped me make some reservations despite not speaking English/my Italian being no good. Waking up to the birds was a treat, the bed was cozy and the shower worked well. It would be fun to have a bunch of friends stay there for a week. "We were the only foreign tourists (that we knew of) at the hotel and were treated like locals. It was a very pleasant experience. The location of Hotel LaPergola is PERFECT! A ten minute walk to the central piazza and some amazing food and gelato. The room was clean, well prepared, and spacious. We walked from the train station to the hotel, a little difficult because of the cobble stone streets, but would do it over and over again for the kind staff, great views, location, and delicious café! Thank you so much for a pleasant stay!"

The staff is very helpful, kind and welcoming. The food is a work of art, and the wine is spectacular. During my stay at hotel, we enjoyed the welcome snacks and wine, plush beds and incredible views of the vineyard from our window. We also did a wine tasting on property which was THE BEST wine tasting I’ve ever experienced. We got a private tour of the entire property, including the cellar where they store the barrels and various vintages. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to escape the city life and enjoy a luxurious vacation in the wine countryside."
