"Comfortable shower after hiking was great. Plus, having free toiletries was helpful."

"Great little cabin with beautiful countryside and only a short distance from Lexington and VMI! Easy check-in. Great space indoors and out. Kitchen was nice and had all the amenities we needed."

"The place is a dump and questionable people staying there possibly on drugs. My husband woke the next morning to a flat tire that had a obvious puncture room in the sidewall no security cameras on premises lost a day of work and had to buy a tire and was not offered a refund."

"Clean very happy"

"Placed perfectly to activities in the Lexington area. This cute little cottage was the exact thing we needed after a day out at the Virginia Horse Center. The beds were comfortable and the ability to relax and unwind was easy. Our hostess was always quick to respond and getting in and out of the home was easy. I will remember this for next year's shows. Thanks."

"Beautiful cabin. There is a dirt dauber nest near the deck on another cabin but other than that it was nice. Wish there were more things. Kitchen wasn't amazingly stocked and grill brush is moldy. But it will do. 4 out of 5 stars."

"Excellent place to stay on our motorcycle ride vacation. Great views from window upstairs. Lot of deer wandering around. Good restaurants in Lexington VA. We will definitely stay here again."

"Nicely kept and great pastoral location. Would recommend adding a few more kitchen supplies to make cooking a little easier. Really did not enjoy a corner camera and alarm at parking area that would go off everytime you walked by. I've never experienced that at a short term rental. Overall pretty good stay though"

"Nice quiet area. Clean and had everything we needed."

"The hosts, Janet and Brian were very friendly and had good recommendations for restaurants and things to do and see. The carriage house was very clean and cozy with terrific views. Jasper, the resident horse, seemed to like attention and petting. Would definitely stay there again."

"Very friendly and had great small little touches that made it an enjoyable experience. Appreciated them having a toaster and a nice refrigerator. The views are fantastic. Next time I hope to use the sauna."

"This place is a great get away in the mountains. Definitely has everything you need for a break from life. A bit scary to get to the place through the mountain roads but if thats not a problem for you then I would recommend this place anytime. The lack of wifi and signal is nice to make you stop and enjoy whats around you. Feels like camping to get people to just enjoy the outdoors or whatever entertainment you bring with you. The place was nice and clean and full of everything you need for...

"We enjoyed our stay. Not much could beat the view.!!The highway was a little noisier than expected so if you’re a light sleeper it may not be for you. I used the sound machine and it worked out well for me. We saw 3 beautiful deer in the yard coming back one night. There was a couple things we had to contact the host about, but he was helpful in helping us resolve the issue. it wasn’t anything major."

"This motel is disgusting. Room smelled like 30 years of cigarette smoke. Whole place in such disrepair. You definitely get what you pay for. Never again"

"WiFi worked well, got some work done easily. Comfortable enough to focus on tasks."

"The Victorian flat is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous antique furniture. The location couldn't be better. We will definetly be back."

"My wife and I had a terrific stay at the Halestone Cottage. The facility was clean and its location in Lexington was ideal. We would recommend it highly to any couple visiting the area."

"I have stayed here before, and it was exactly what I needed: a quiet place to decompress. Jerry, the owner, responds quickly to all communication. The place is really clean, and I love having coffee by the stream. I'd stay here again. If you want peace and quiet and love nature, this is the place for you."
