Terrace. A 3,000 m² wooded garden with an open pond, an orchard (apple, pear, quince, cherry, and peach trees) and berries (blackcurrant, redcurrant, blueberry, and mulberry trees).

It's a traditional, fully renovated stone house. The kitchen's bay window overlooks a lush park. Here and there, various species of trees surround the pond and stream, providing a refreshing summer breeze. A little further away, on a lawn, the traditional apple orchard offers an inspiring refuge, where nature offers a colorful display.
At the end of the day, the fireplace provides a pleasant substitute for the sun, and you can use the built-in barbecue. Jean-Marie and Colette Dumaine, retired restaurateurs, invite you to share their family home with you, following their epic journey of gourmet cooking using wild plants in the Rhine Valley. Jean-Marie Dumaine, originally from the Bocage Virois, is a star chef across the Rhine and his wife Colette was born in the cottage. The chef has been cooking with 350 species of plants for 40 years. They are based in Sinzig, a German town near Bonn. He fell in love with the region, the Rhineland, and repatriated his wife and children there forty years ago. “I've always been impressed by German rigour,” he confides with a smile.
