The room was nice and clean. A good size for Japan. They provided bottled water, which was nice. The bed was relatively comfortable but nothing special. Linens were clean. The downside is the location, as there was nothing to do in the immediate vicinity. Only an expensive steak restaurant above. The entrance to the hotel is also very lacklustre and the view was terrible.

Our second time staying at The Gate Hotel Ryogoku. Very peaceful area, but within a short train ride or walk to plenty of interesting sites. Very close to the JR station. Spacious and Clean rooms with a large bathroom and a great view of the Sumida River.

The service was great. The hotel arranged a baby cot in short notice and helped us sending luggage to another hotel in Tokyo with ease. Room is nice and clean. Highly recommend! Only short fall is the hotel does not provide parking for the stay.

The hotel was in an excellent location. 5 minute walk from station which took you anywhere you needed to go. Local shops were also minutes walk away which was very handy. The hotel itself is beautiful. Our room was stunning looking over the river, decor and cleanliness were fantastic. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

Great location for Sumo fans. Very peaceful. Excellent service. The Roof Terrace bar was especially relaxing.
