We absolutely loved our stay here. The owners were some of the nicest, most helpful people we have ever stayed with. The property itself is clean, warm and well maintained. The breakfast choices you het are generous and from what we had, thoroughly lovely. We would definitely stay here again

We loved it!

Just back from a week stay. Super, quiet location but also within a few minutes walking distance from the sea front. Our room was spacious and more than enough storage space, mirrors and lighting to keep us happy. Spotlessly clean and serviced daily. Our check in was smooth, despite us being delayed. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of choices. Karen and Chris were great hosts and obviously know what they are doing. A lovely touch was a box of chocolates and card having heard it was our wedding anniversary. So kind.

An excellent small hotel very well run by Chris and Karen, the breakfast choices were fantastic, the rooms exceptionally clean with all facilities.We will definately be stopping here again when visiting the area.

Karen and Chris, the owners, we're very friendly. The room was lovely and clean and bright, with a fan on the ceiling if needed. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast which you ordered the night before. A great selection of hot breakfast to choose from too, so you didn't have to have a normal cooked breakfast. Lovely accommodation with 3 parking spaces, but some road parking if needed.

The hosts were very welcoming from the word go. Cleanliness was apparent as soon as you arrive & continued throughout the stay. The facilities were as expected, the breakfast menu was varied & the food & presentation was superb (sugar lumps not sachets). Attention to detail everywhere. Private parking area down steps to the rear plus usually able to park outside the building on the road. All in all an exceptionally enjoyable stay.

Excellent hotel

We were made very welcome by Karen and Chris, they couldn't do enough for us during our stay. The romm was very nice and was comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. They hotel was clean and had covid precautions in place so felt very safe. 5 minute walk to the train station and sea front and plenty of pubs and restaurants near by. Very enjoyable stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend

Little Gem

Chris and Karen were so welcoming and their property is very homely. The rooms were Fantastic with everything you need to be comfortable. Breakfast was by far the highlight of our stay. Quick and efficient service with a smile and the food was AMAZING! Karen is a culinary genius. Every morning was a delight and the best way to start the day. Highly recommend The Baytree for anyone and everyone!

Highly recommend!

Excellent hosts, super clean rooms and public areas and very comfortable beds. Well looked after at breakfast catering for coeliac also. In a fantastic location just a short walk from the marina.

Great location, quiet and yet accessible. Karen and Chris are helpful and friendly and make an excellent breakfast, plenty of choices with great table service. Baytree B&B

We had a 3 day trip to Torquay and stayed at the Baytree. The accommodation and service was excellent. The bedroom was spotless, the bed comfortable and TV and tea making facilities available. Breakfast requirements were to be texed to 'the kitchen' the previous night and was delivered to our assigned table in the morning at the agreed time. Everything went to plan and the food was of excellent. We were very pleased with our visit and highly recommend this B and B

An excellent guest house

Very well organised to ensure a safe stay in these Covid times. Hand sanitizer and social distancing in the dining room. Rooms bright and clean. Owners very welcoming and have good advice. Guest house set in quiet part of Torquay with other similar hotels and guest houses. About a 15minute walk to the sea front through Torre Abbey grounds then another 10-15 minute walk to the main town centre.

Highly Recommended

This was a lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast, and nice and friendly owners. Nice location, too, with a small parking area but free parking on the surrounding streets. I really can't think of anything negative to say about The Baytree!
