"Like the location close to town. Beds really comfy. Parkade close by. Prime rib dinner in the Library was fantastic! Yorkshire puddings were huge!!"

"I booked for a funeral, I was a speaker and had to drive for 2 days to get to Nelson. Figured I’d splurge since it was a sad trip, and wanted to be well rested. My first night I was woken up by the alarm at 5 am, I guess from the last guests.. I couldn’t figure out how to stop it until I got up completely.. and then that was it for the nights rest. Then that night- after the funeral, there was a MASSIVE bachelorette party across from my room. The music was blaring, there was a giant clear plastic bag full of empty white claws and Champaign bottles.. eventually staff came and asked them to please be quiet as it was after 9 am, and they said they’d “ok be quiet after 10pm” and slammed the door in the staffs face. As it wasn’t getting any quieter I asked if I could please have a different room. Which they gave me.. but sadly it was only a couple doors down, and under their room, so I couldn’t open the door for fresh air without all the music coming into my room.. sadly I did not enjoy my stay. I thought I’d spend the extra money and at least have a nice place to come crash at after burying my best friend.. and at least I could charge my Tesla with the only charger in town- hassle free.. but that also wasn’t working."

"I stayed at this property for two weeks while attending an immersion program for school. The property was very conveniently located-- and it took me less than 10 minutes to walk anywhere that I needed to go. The owner is kind and responsive. Everything was clean and easy to clean while staying there. It's a very cute place and I was happy with my experience. Some folks have noted the sound of the train. Personally, I found the sound of the train comforting. You can definitely hear every step above you-- I found that a sleep machine or putting on background sleep sounds helped mitigate the noise. It was only really an annoyance on my last night-- the people above were extra stompy until well past 2am. That being said, I would stay at this place again as my overall experience was very good."
