"This hotel is terrible—do not stay here. The reviews are very misleading. From the moment we pulled up, the property looked sketchy. Unfortunately, it only got worse once I went inside the room. I specifically paid for a non-smoking room, but it reeked of smoke. When I tried turning on the light near the bathroom, it didn’t work, and when I walked into the bathroom, the toilet was absolutely disgusting. I left immediately and requested a refund, but the hotel refused. I had to contact Hotels.com, and after going back and forth with both the hotel and Hotels.com, I finally received a refund today. This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. To make things even more concerning, the hotel changed its name from “Americas Inn & Suites” to “Crystal Inn & Suites” within just a few days, which is very suspicious. I would not trust this place at all."

"My husband and I had a great stay. The owners were very accommodating and communicative. The neighborhood was quiet with quick access to the highway, and the house had everything we needed for our long stay, including washer/dryer. "

"Our family of over 15 people had an amazing time in Houston. We were there for a baseball tournament, and the location was perfect. During our downtime, the kids enjoyed fishing in the lake and playing ping pong and billiards. The owner was incredibly responsive and quickly addressed any issues we had. "

"One positive, the mattresses were comfortable. When we checked in there was a terrible odor that we tracked to the kitchen sink. The disposal wasn’t working and there was rotting food just sitting in the drain. One of the bedrooms fan/light fixture was not working. One of the shower heads was unusable. I alerted Louis after check in and he assured me he would come the next day to make repairs but never showed up and we never heard from him again. There were other minor issues. One of the twin beds mattress support slats kept falling off while my son was trying to sleep. The fluorescent bulb light fixtures in the kitchen had no coverings and you can see right up to the attic. You can’t shut one of the bathroom doors completely. The deadbolt on the back door wasn’t working. The house is old and needs some tlc. Our main gripe was the smell from the sink and non working disposal, the fact that there were five of us and could only use one shower and having no light or fan in the bedroom. "
