"A lovely, modern hotel, excellently located within easy walking distance of both the city centre and the outlying countryside, and just a couple of hundred metres walk from the bus terminal/railway station. I had a totally internal room (so the window looked out onto a corridor), but I'm well used to that in Scandinavian hotels, and it was quiet, nicely decorated, clean and well furnished. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. A good breakfast menu too. I would most definitely stay again."

"The view over the water, islands and mountains is incredibly beautiful and not to be missed. The owners are very friendly and very accommodating. We had a special vegetarian lunch which was delicious and plentiful. The sauna with a view was so fun and relaxing. It is on the dock where you can jump in the water if you dare! It is cold and refreshing. It is worth the commute into Stavanger, about 30 minutes, to be on this peaceful and lovely island at this welcoming, homey place."
