Sour cherries, you can find them in Italy in the summer time and you will often see jars of them out in the sun. If you are lucky enough to stay at an agriturismo with these beautiful fruit. Pick as many as you can, jar them, add sugar if you like and let them sit in the sun for a day or two. The end result is delicious on its own or as a topping for ice cream or plain white cake.
