Superb stay! The staff were friendly & helpful & the hotel has a relaxed feel that makes it hard to leave! The beach area is accessed via a short alleyway & if you ask at reception, they will put an umbrella up by the sun loungers for you. The only thing that can be improved is the Wi-fi connection inside the room.

Awful place, WiFi advertised was so slow it unusable. Electrics in room dependent on let putting in slot but every hour you needed to remove card and renter meaning during night aircon would turn off. Around pool there are ponds of stagnent water which attract mosquitoes so pool is unusable. Worst still is in heavy rain these ponds overflow into pool contaminating pool water. Breakfast dry, bland, cold and inedible. Worst food we have had in Sri Lanka by a long way. Booked excursion to see dolphins. Told to be in reception for 5:50am.arrived at 5:45 and made ourselves known, told to wait and tour company would pick us up by bus to take us to beech. At 6:10am no tour company but told on way. 6:30 still no tour company and then told that the boat had broken down. Then told to come back next day. Explained that was impossible as we were leaving at 8am but had to argue over getting a refund. Eventually they agreed and asked me to comeback at 7am.at 7am asked to come back at 7:30" refused so they refunded and apologised for failing to book with tour company so the boat breaking down was a lie. Due to this we missed going out to see dolphins which was the main reason we came to trinco

シャワーの出が弱かったのと、少々洗面所の方に流れてしまうので少し困りましたが、プールのタオルで防いだので問題なかったです。 スタッフの方々が皆さん親切丁寧で、3日の滞在も気持ちよく過ごせました。朝ごはんも美味しかったです。夜は外で食べたのでわかりませんが、プールバーでの飲み物も、値段も良心的で美味しかったです。

We arrived after a long journey and were glad we picked this hotel for our first night stay. Just a 1 minute walk to the beach was great as was the onsite swimming pool. We ate at the hotel and could not fault the meal, presentation or the staff. The personal sitting out area outside the room was also a nice touch. Staff were excellent. All in all a good choice.

relaxing stay and would recommend it to others

We stayed here out of season and had a great time. The staff could not do enough for us. As it was out of season all food was to order which made a nice change from the huge breakfast buffets at other hotels. There are quite a few local bars and restaurants to get good food as well within walking distance. Good large swimming pool with some seating around and a short walk to the beach. A great sandy beach a delight to swim / body surf on it. The gardens are gorgeous with the most beautiful flowers and well maintained. They regularly spray to keep down the mosquitos - we had no problems while we were there with them. Some of the decor is a little weather worn but as they were out of season they were doing some work on it. The finish is the bathroom is not good with incomplete seals on the showers therefore I managed to flood the bathroom, partly because of the force of the shower as it was great. Wifi - they seem to have 2 networks so if you want to use it in your room and the bar / restaurant log in to both. Overall we had a very relaxing stay here and would recommend it to others.

toller Pool und kurzer Weg zum Strand. Weißer, schöner Sandstrand. Dort gibt es zahlreiche Angebote für Wasseraktivitäten z.B. Whale Watching oder Schnorcheln. In der Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants um die Abendstunden ausklingen zu lassen. Rundum ein schönes Hotel mit gutem Service. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Pleasant stay

Had a good time at Anantamaa hotel. The room was nice and clean, balcony outside the room. Short walk to the beach with sunbeds and almost no people. Good breakfast, but would have loved some water and more selection in juices. They should also consider changing the layout of the breakfast buffet, as it got really crammed by the eggs and by the toast.

Prima verblijf!

Mooi hotel met een eigen paadje (50m) naar het prachtige strand van uppuveli. Zwembad was mooi met voldoende bedjes (tenzij er net een buslading met groepsreizigers aankomt). De kamers zijn basic, maar hebben alles wat je nodig hebt. Ook lekker om een eigen terras voor de kamer te hebben.

Great location

Very nice room in a beautiful location. Staff all very nice and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good, a mixture of western and Eastern buffet and fresh made omelets. Dinner was average but 3 times the price of the local restaurants which are tastier in my opinion.

Awesome relaxing stay in clean hotel

We booked this hotel for a couple of days to just relax. It has a great pool and beach is a two minute walk. Both have beds for hotel users only. As it was very quiet when we were there, we had such a relaxing stay! The rooms were very spacious, comfortable and clean. We unfortunately had a room next to reception and it was very noisy ealry in the morning as guest left and arrived and we heard the reception phone ringing all the time. Rooms aren't very soundprove. Location was perfect for us. There are plenty of restaurants and beach bars around and also a small supermarket within a 2 min walk. Overall, very good stay for a very reasonable price. Just try to get a room away from reception.

Nice location very close to the beach, the swimming pool area is very well designed as well as the green areas. The room is essential with no much space but the shower had a very strong spray which I loved! Breakfast is good

GROSSE DÉCEPTION

J'ai réservé cet hôtel , un des plus chers de Trincomalee, Et ma déception est grande. Des l'arrivée l'hôtesse joue la star en m'enregistrant. Je demande le code wifi et je vais dans ma chambre. Chambre de taille moyenne mais avec équipement minimaliste. Un petit tiroir pour ranger et une penderie basse de 20 cms de large avec 2 cintres! J'essaye le wifi, pas de réseau! Je retourne à la réception et la même hôtesse me dit avec son mauvais anglais PAS DE WIFI DANS LES CHAMBRES , seulement à la réception . Je dit Ironiquement " super" en français et elle répète ce mot avec un air narquois, d'une parfaite impolitesse j'essaye le wifi. Des que 2 personnes essayent de se connecter en même temps, ca ne marche plus. Le petit déjeuner, un petit buffet comme dans un Formule 1 , indigne d'un hôtel à ce prix.Pour terminer, parlons de transats . Il y en a 12 à la piscine pour un hôtel qui doit au moins avoir 50 chambres. Quant à la plage, une douzaine aussi mais tellement sales et répugnants que nous avons préféré nous allonger dans le sable. L'hôtel le plus cher que j'ai eu au Sri Lanka mais surtout, le seul qui m'ait déçue.

Schönes Hotel in Strandnähe. Der Pool und Garten sind sehr gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind groß jedoch fehlt es an Sitzgelegenheiten. Das Frühstück war hervorragend. Das Hotel ist sehr gut jedoch wie die meisten Hotels in Sri Lanka viel zu teuer. Das Preisleisungsverhältnis passt einfach nicht im Vergleich zu anderen Südostasiatischen Ländern.

Good hotel, nice surroundings

Anantamaa is a very nice hotel, not too large not too small, we believe around 60 rooms. Rooms are located in 4 different blocks all kind of centered around the large swimming pool. Hotel has its own entrance to the beach (small alley, around 100 meters), and has its own little area on the beach with sunbeds. In the beach area you find various restaurants, bars, and small touroperators offering everything linked to watersports. We had 2 nights half board and the dinner was surprisingly good. 4 course menu with choice for the main course. Both times we were pleasantly surprised. Good quality, nicely presented, good taste, really good level restaurant. In the surroundings of the hotel, 5 - 10 minutes walk you will find various local restaurants, massage places, juice bar, coffee shop, little shops. Trincomallee is about 10 minutes by tuk tuk.

Top Hotel mit klasse Lage

Wunderschönes, sehr sauberes Hotel. Liegt nur 1 Minute entfernt vom hauseigenem Strand. Die gesamte Hotel Anlage ist sauber, sehr gepflegt und lädt zum relaxen ein. Pool und Garten werden jeden Tag gereinigt bzw. gepflegt. Auch der Hotel eigene Strand ist sauber. Über die Zimmer gibts nichts negatives zu berichten— saubere Handtücher, sauberes Bettlacken und ein sauberes Bad. Der Service

Hôtel bien situé et cadre très agréable

Séjour de 3 nuits fin juin 2018. Belle chambre avec terrasse et grande salle de bain moderne. Belle piscine avec transats pour tous. Grand jardin très bien entretenu : oasis de calme. Petit chemin qui mène à la plage ( surveillée ). Nous recommandons cet hôtel à deux pas du Fernando’s : meilleur bar/resto de plage testé au Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 !

Mittelklasse Hotel nahe am traumhaften Strand

Plus: Die Anlage ist schön, in ein paar Schritten ist man am Meer. Das Meer und der Strand sind ein Traum. Rundherum gibt es genug Möglichkeiten Essen zu gehen und man kann Kleinigkeiten einkaufen gehen. Das Personal ist sehr höflich und freundlich. Es ist relativ ruhig in der Anlage.(von Vogelgezwitscher und dem hupenden Bäcker mal abgesehen). Das Frühstückbuffett hat sehr viel Auswahl und war recht ansprechend. Minus: Das Zimmer ist alles andere als zweckmäßig eingerichtet: Nur eine Steckdose im Bad, nur ein Hocker. Der Kühlschrank ist regelmäßig überhitzt, wenn man die Kastentüre geschlossen hat. Die Klimaanlage war sehr laut und hat ständig getropft (immer ein kleiner See am Boden), die Regendusche war kaputt (wurde dann aber repariert). Einen kleinen Wäscheständer haben wir erst auf zweimaliger Rückfrage bekommen, da man die Badesachen sonst nur auf den beiden Terrassen-Holzsesseln trocknen konnte. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren nicht wirklich sauber. In der Anlage fehlten die Auflagen für die Liegen am Pool, die Nebenpools mit den Fischen waren sehr ungepflegt, einige Schirme kaputt. Wir konnten aber beobachten, dass sie diese Dinge nach und nach angegangen sind. Wir waren noch in der Nebensaison und offenbar hat man für den Beginn der Hauptsaison (ab Juli) dann schon einiges vorbereitet (Poolauflagen waren dann vorhanden, man hat viel repariert, die Pools neu eingelassen....) Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt gut gefallen.
