Rooms are large with jetted tubs and face a peaceful garden. Great spa and pool areas. Very good attached restaurant. Staff is young and could use some prepping such as when they tell a guest the restaurant is closed for dinner Sunday night they could volunteer to help the guest get dinner reservations somewhere else. "Although the building is likely ~50 years old, the interior has been comprehensively, tastefully, and well renovated with enlarged modern rooms and bathrooms. It appeared to be quite busy while we were there, but it was very quiet in the room. Given the proximity to La Mauricie and the highway to Saguenay, as well as the charm of the Grand-Mere district of Shawinigan, it is a good choice."
