Hotel is currently under maintenance, which nobody warned us about. At the hotel there is no hint or information for the guests. On the day we arrived, the maintenance was at the front door but the main works are in fact in the second floor, so we had to endure the drilling and hammering, and on saturday the drilling works woke us up at around 7:00AM. Some of the staff at the lobby are nice, but mostly the rest aren’t. We had a bad experience on the first day upon trying to do our check-in. The information sent via mail provided the possibility of early check ins, at the hotel, however, after repeteadly asking we were told rudely we needed to pay additionally per hour requested. The attitude throughout the entire check in process was no better and the only reason for which we were allowed into our room a few minutes before 3pm was because we asked for a toilette and the guest toilette currently in the third floor was disgusting - for lack of better words. Nobody had realized that it was dirty. Breakfast is quite decent, but the restaurant is too small for the amount of people and mostly you need to come early to be able to find a table, otherwise you need to wait. The room is ok but it won’t be cleaned unless you don’t extra ask for it. The best of the hotel is the location.

The room was spacious enough and had a small fridge, which was convenient. Housekeeping is only provided upon request. Unfortunately, the TV was quite outdated, with no streaming apps or Chromecast available. There were only a few Norwegian TV channels and no international ones, which is disappointing nowadays. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options, and the location couldn't be better, right in the heart of Tromsø. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay, but upgrading the TVs to include streaming apps would definitely improve the guest experience.

Easy to find and location was excellent. There were no parking space at the hotel but we knew that before so it didn't effect. Breakfast was great. Big suprise was that our room was upgraded to better one at the same price so that was a great suprise.
