Couldn't recommend more!

We had the most incredible stay at Portercole, only made better by Biagio and Sharon! The rooms are beautiful, clean and so comfortable. Biagio and Sharon are such wonderful and helpful hosts! Highly recommend booking here and we hope to be back one day soon.

This place is amazing! Very central and a short walk to just about anywhere. The owners have thought of everything, beach towels & thongs in the rooms, beach umbrellas, full length & magnifying mirrors, even washing lines and pegs! The breakfast was wonderful, I would go back in a heartbeat!

Words cannot describe the overall vibe of Portercole. Sharon and Biagio did an amazing job renovating the property and thought of every detail. Perfect location, amazing rooms, delicious breakfast, and the friendliest hosts I have encountered in 40 years of traveling.

Perfectly located, Shannon was a great host. Excellent breakfast and Samuel who took care of us was also fantastic. They offered parking for a fee and very conveniently located. Our stay was a perfect one. The room had a convenient beach bag ready to be used with towels and flip-flops … nice touch!

Family of 3 spent 5 great nights here (Ulisses Rm)

Family of 3, stayed for 5 nights in July 2025. Loved the location, about a 15 minute walk to the train station. Located right in the historic center of town, on a lively street with quick access to restaurants, shops, entertainment. While the street is active at night, we had a lovely balcony to people watch, but once the windows were closed, the noise was not an issue. The beach is also walkable, about 15 minutes, accessed by steps that bring you down to the beach areas, with choices of lounge/umberella rentals or public beach areas. Hotel itself was perfect. Small and cozy. They offer a great/tasty breakfast daily, where you get an opportunity to chat with the other travelers or your hosts. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, providing great restaurant recommendations and go above and beyond for our daughter. She left her stuffed bear at the hotel and the hosts found it and mailed it to us at our next location. Cannot thank them enough for doing that. The wife and I stayed for 4 nights. Good location. Ice cold AC. Fantastic service. Our room was cleaned everyday. Upon request, Sharon made dinner reservations for us every night as well as recommendations for our day trips outside of town. When we arrived, her husband was outside saving a parking space for us right outside the door. As for breakfast, bacon eggs and coffee, yes please! Grazie Mille!

Wir hatten zwei wunderschöne Wochen in Tropea. Das B&B Portercole war der Hammer.. Von der Begrüssung bis zur Abreise waren wir vollend's zufrieden. Die schönen grossen Zimmer, das Bad und die Sauberkeit haben uns sehr beeindruckt. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit. Wir kommen wieder.....

La proprietaria è stata molto gentile e super disponibile durante tutto il soggiorno. La camera è pulita e la qualità dell'arredamento è ottima, dispone di un servizio di pulizia delle stanze giornaliero. Vi trivdes mycket bra i Portercole, som hade där det lilla extra som man som gäst sätter värde på. Smakfullt och praktiskt, ingenting fattades. Det fanns handdukar att ta med till stranden och en ställning utanför fönstret att torka dem på. En liten fransk balkong så man kunde se vad som hände utanför. Ett värdpar och personal som var rara och serviceinriktade. Riklig frukost med stor variation. Man ska dock veta att det finns trappor även inom boendet.
Skolelever demonstrerar för klimatet på gatan utanför.

Wirklich eine super Unterkunft. Die Lage könnte kaum besser sein, man hat alles in direkter Nähe und ist in wenigen Minuten am Strand. Die Besitzer sind unfassbar nett und hilfsbereit, haben uns abgeholt und einen Parkplatz an der Unterkunft reserviert. Beim Frühstück gibts alles, was man braucht. Und nachdem wir uns einen Sonnenbrand geholt hatten, hatten wir am nächsten Tag einen Strandschirm vorm Zimmer. Wir kommen gerne mal wieder!
