Odd place in Turku

If you are getting off an evening ferry and into a morning train in Turku, then maybe you’d consider this place. But otherwise, no. It is basic basic with zero frills (and a very disinterested welcome). Not worth it for the price.

The bed was comfortable, but our blanket did not cover the two of us. It was too small for the bed. There are no blackout curtains so it was not dark in our room. The towels were very thin.

Walls and windows are probably made of cardboard paper since you hear everything going on inside and outside of this hostel. Window blinds are of the cheapest variety and woefully inadequate for nordic summer where it starts to get bright at 4am. No recommended if you want a good night sleep.

On niitä huonompiakin nähty.

Hinta-/laatusuhde nippanappa ok. Ovi murron tai jonkun muun vuoksi lukon kohdalta raollaan. Sisäovessa onneton salpa joka pidättelee ehkä kovaa tuulta. Suihku-/wc tila ahdas. Wc.n kynnys korjattu ilmastointiteipillä. Pölyä pinnoilla silminnähden. Yksinkertainen nukkumakoppi.

Huone oli edullinen ja siisti, mutta pesuhuoneen kalusteet olivat päässeet kärsimään kosteuden takia. Pesutilasta puuttui myös peili. Yhteisissä tiloissa oli kivasti kodinkoneita esim. aamupalaa varten, mutta osa astioista oli valmiiksi likaisia eikä niitä varten ollut pesuvälineitä. Vaikka huone sijaitsi vilkasliikenteiselle kadulle päin, huone oli hiljainen.

Hyvällä sijainnilla hotelli ja edullinen. Mutta esimerkiksi huonosti kiinni olevat pyyheteline, spottivalo ei tehnyt vaikutusta ja palovaroitin roikkui piuhoista katosta. Ja lakanat eivät näyttäneet puhtaalta ja lakanalla oli musta pitkä hius ja ei varmasti ollut ilmastointia paikassa

Tuli mieleen 70- luvun kesähotellit . Retro sisustus miellytti, tuli nostalginen fiilis. Pieni aamiaishuone käytävän päässä siisti. Omistajaan sai helposti yhteyden puhelimitse. Kiva paikka mielestäni.
