Biggy Best Cottages

"Location and grounds were lovely. Room was advertised as the "Stables Suite", but it was very small. We had to go outside and into another locked room to access our kitchenette. Front desk staff was very dry and not welcoming. She did not seem to like her job. Breakfast started 45 minutes after advertised. Listing and signage say "breakfast, lunch and dinner", but they only serve breakfast. Bed was very old and creaky. Lots of potential. Needs TLC."

"Had a wonderful one night stay. Rooms are beautiful and the communal areas cosy with log burner, pool table and honesty bar. The owner Ryan is a friendly guy who can give you great local recommendations. Breakfast was exceptional served by Abel the chef who made a fabulous sourdough loaf."

"Our stay at the Old Mushroom Farm was fantastic. The converted mushroom house into an apartment is awesome and very comfortable. I would recommend it for anyone wishing to explore the Howick/Karkloof area."

"A stunning Africa themed hotel - with art, antiquities, mosaics and sculptures all around. Indeed a surreal experience, with very private en suite bedrooms, and delicious cooked breakfasts. A peaceful haven sitting at the top of Kloof gorge with speculated views."
