Nice, clean, organized, and welcoming, with lots of treats. Packed with all the amenities you need and more. The owner went above and beyond making this cottage feel like a home away from home.

This is a very comfortable cottage in a great location. The weather was very hot when we were there so we really appreciated the comfort when we had to stay in. It is a nice walk to downtown in the early morning cool.

I’m obsessed with how cute and lovely this stay was, we really felt spoiled by Valerie! The house was well designed, spotless, and even had a fridge fully stocked with yogurt and almond milk and delicious granola. Valerie and her beau were absolutely lovely and it was a pleasure to meet them! Great location, walking distance into town. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Such a clean and charming cottage! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners are so responsive and pleasant. And they included many snacks and breakfast items in the frig, as well as fresh pastries from a local bakery our first morning. We would definitely visit again.

What an incredible find. This tiny home had everything 2 people could need. Everything was so well thought out and beautifully designed. There were so many snacks and treats in the kitchen and the owner ever dropped off fresh pastries on our first morning there. The yard is beautiful and the space is perfect for 2 people. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed and how clean and well-stocked this little rental is! We have a 2-year old and they were extremely accommodating. The pack n play fit in the room, windows black out and there were delicious snacks and treats that made us feel at home. They really go above and beyond!

Hosts are friendly and helpful. The VRBO property is right next to the hosts' house and the outdoor (backyard) spot is shared between you & the hosts. The property is in walking distance of downtown, but quiet at night. The hosts provided lots of snacks for weary travelers!

This is a small unit but has everything you need, including a comfortable back yard to enjoy a book and pet the owner's dogs if you like. It is very well stocked with snacks, toiletries and any anything you may have forgotten. It's a short walk into town to enjoy a meal and a good base to use for visiting the redwoods, the ocean or wine tasting.

This accommodation was delightful. A gorgeous cottage, very beautifully appointed. Very comfortable, a garden outside the door. Had every amenity, a filled refrigerator with drinks & snacks, fresh pastries, good coffees. Just charming. A quiet tree lined street. A good sleep! Would definitely stay again, and recommend highly.

Valerie’s home is an immaculate and charming garage conversion and addition. The home is a small one bedroom detached unit adjacent to the owner’s house. It was stocked with all sorts of yummy food and beverages. Overall it was very nicely outfitted and organized. The back yard is perfect for lounging and was great for our dog to hang out. The location was in a nice older neighborhood very close to downtown Ukiah, perfect for walking. Valerie was a great host and happens to be a realtor if you are in the market😀. Great experience!

We loved this cottage. It was really perfect - clean, pretty, comfortable and cozy, and with lots of unexpected goodies like a snack basket, fresh fruit, toiletries, stocked kitchen, and pastries and bagels delivered to our door in the morning. The house was beautiful from the outside too and was only two minutes drive from downtown Ukiah. Valerie and Charles were friendly, helpful hosts and we will be coming back soon.

My 78-year-old mom stayed in this cottage while we were visiting Ukiah for a wedding, and she loved it! The home is immaculate, has all the amenities needed, and was stocked with unexpected snacks. The property is secure, and the garden was tranquil for reading or enjoying coffee. The owners surprised her with breakfast pastries and were extremely helpful in retrieving an item my mom left behind.

We enjoyed our stay at the cozy cottage. It was the perfect jumping off location to explore Ukiah and the surrounding area. The full kitchen was a boon, so we could eat some meals in. Our host was nice and brought us fresh pastries the first evening. She also provided a variety of drinks, snacks, and breakfast goodies. The only down-side was an issue with the key when we arrived, such that we had to log on to VRBO from the car and contact our host. She lives onsite so she was able to come and rectify the problem. The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood. We felt very safe, and a local coffee shop is within easy walking distance.

When you’re taking your wife on a truffle hunt and you’ve never been to this area, you know you’ve found the right place when, upon walking in she says, “it looks like a professional designer staged this place.” And that’s just the beginning. A cozy and comfy place for two, Valerie’s cottage is like a miniature version of MacArthur Place in Sonoma (another favorite). Impeccably decorated, with comfortable seating, cozy robes, and the best stocked fridge of any place we’ve ever stayed… any place. Organic maple syrup? Check. Coconut milk creamer? Yep. Organic 2% milk? Of course. This is just the beginning, but if you want to know more… then book a stay yourself. After a day of walking and hunting, my wife said, “this place makes me want to put on my pj’s, order in and just relax.” There’s not a better recommendation than that. There’s a perfect little courtyard outside your door, just the place for your pooch to decompress. Our big boy worked all day hunting, and relaxed perfectly at Valerie’s. Communication was great, recommendations spot-on and located close to a park and Black Oak Coffee (something for everyone). We are already planning on returning to this lovely little retreat.

Dear Readers, I am one of the first to review this adorable cottage in the midtown area of Ukiah. It's easy to find, easy to park on the street or in the driveway if permitted. Walk up from the front to a key-coded lockbox on the side of the main house. The key opens up the backyard and which is a perfect retreat for a dog that also needs a little time. Several treats are in the fridge and in a basket and jars. This stay included a breakfast which was baked goods from what may be the best bakery in town and stuck in my head that it was an amazing scone! You'll see. Plenty of hot shower water, good heat, lighting and a cozy atmosphere. Kitchenett was delightful with plenty of what is needed for a full meal. Creamers of different kinds were made available for our morning coffee or pasta sauces. We ended up at Rivino for wine tasting and the view was spectacular. The prices were reasonable and the wine variety was indeed delish. Don't use the restrooms and do take a picture. They do have a cheese and meat board if you like that with your wine. The restaurant in the hood I tried was Patrona on West Stanley. There are three other ones on the same block if you don't like the vibe. There is a happy hour at the bar that is a very favorable pricing and you can ask for onion rings to share as a bar treat. (off menu). The bar crowd are inclusive and know each other. Great place for one person who is extroverted. We went to Vichy Hot Springs and it was a mixed bag. I happen to be a hot spring aficionado. Go to Orr Hot Springs if it's open. Book now since they take reservations. You can make a great picnic for Orr and the conversation is structured to be a little more quiet in the soaking tubs, private room tubs, and a swimming pool. The soaking is hotter there and I like that, myself. Just pop up out of the water every now and then to regulate yourself. Be sure to check holiday and summer months for live bands at wineries and beer halls. The weed stores in Hopland are very good. The dogs on this property did not NOT yelp and they were very well behaved and managed. So cute! Invite one on your lap. Bring a pillow case to keep your clothes from getting hair all over and have some dog therapy with these cuties. I hope you enjoy your stay with the delightfully decorated and cozy cottage. Valerie and her partner were very accomodating. I would return to again in the future.
