The area is great for cycling and the village of Greenodd is on the W2W national cycle route. There is also fishing nearby.

The local pub is within 1/2 mile and the village also has a bakery, butchers, fish and chip shop, and a wine shop. Fuel station with shop within 1 mile. A wider range of amenities can be found in the market town of Ulverston, 4 miles away. This bustling town is known for being the birth place of Stan Laurel and is home to the world’s only Laurel and Hardy museum. Ulverston also has a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés and hosts various events and festivals throughout the year.

There are lots of places of interest to visit in the area including Holker Hall and Gardens, 8 miles away, Levens Hall with its renowned Topiary gardens and Sizergh Castle 20 miles.
