"This is a very well located hotel in Old Town Lisbon. The room was small, as is typical in busy city center hotels. There is a restaurant called Olive attached to the hotel that you can reach from inside or from the street. It offers a buffet breakfast similar to other hotels in Portugal and France. The food was ok, but not great. There are many other cafes within a block or two that have much better food. One unusual feature of the hotel is that when you walk in the front door, you are presented with a large oval bar. The first time we walked in, I thought we’d mistakenly come to a bar. It didn’t look like a hotel entrance at all. After you enter the front doors, look right and you’ll see two check-in tables. Overall, the stay was fine, not fancy, not luxurious but certainly ok with nothing much to complain about"

"This is a nice hotel with small rooms as the standard room. The location is perfect and the restaurant connected to the hotel is wonderful. What was especially nice was the man at the desk was amazing carrying all our luggage up to the second floor since the elevator was not working. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great!"

"The front desk staff are the best. They are the most kind and helpful I have ever experienced in any hotel. When I first arrived, it was 7 am, and I was shattered from 4 weeks travelling in West Africa and an overnight flight from Senegal. The staff allowed me to sit in the Reading Room, where I proceeded to snore my head off until 10 am, when I was awakened and told my room was ready, and my bags were already in the room!! What hospitality!! I stayed 4 nights and wanted to stay longer, but unfortunately they were fully booked. No wonder. This is the best little gem in Lisbon. The location couldn't be better. My thanks go to everyone, including the excellent Housekeeping staff."

"Great location and a good breakfast. Room comfortable but subpar. Not for anyone not in good physical shape. You will need to carry luggage up and down a minimum of 2 flights of stairs. Some staff friendly while others rude. We had a 6:30 am pickup to the airport and asked about availability of coffee since breakfast is not served until 7:30 am. We were pointed to a coin operated questionable source. Not sure why breakfast area with automated machine is not available earlier in the morning. Consider this a heads up - reviews that lead to our booking gave us a misrepresentation of the facility."

"This location ideal to the site seeing great restaurants the metro every thing a tourist needs for exploring the city Breakfast is great with a beautiful view of Lisbon. The place is dated but this aside it is clean and comfortable "

"Breakfast was bad. Eggs were old, mushrooms were cold, sausage had bones in it, I tried to order fried eggs and was told by a very rude waitress they could not make fried eggs. It was almost like we were an inconvenience to the restaurant staff. Front desk enployees were above and beyond hospitable. They are the amazing grace of the hotel!"
