Such a lovely place to stay.
Such a lovely place to stay. Down a country lane and nothing around. The cottage itself is beautiful. Comfy snd beautiful surroundings. You get there and just breath. Get away from the hustle and bustle of town life. The attention to detail from the lovely owners is great. You have Lynton and Lynmouth and Ilfracombe about 45 minutes away. Easy to get to and worth it. You have South Molton and barnstaple closer. Barnstaple is nice for shopping.

What a truly beautiful place to stay.
What a truly beautiful place to stay. The cottage was lovely , the log fire was a big hit & perfect to come home to after a day of walking. Bobbie & Trevor were perfect hosts, always there to answer a question but never intrusive. Our nutty setter loved walking up & down their extremely long driveway, you do feel like you are in another world - away from everything. The games room was also a massive hit & we all used it, the kids especially loved it.

Everything was very well done, starting with the excellent directions that got us to the cottage without drama even though it was not on sat nav, the excellent and friendly welcome from our hosts, who were very friendly and informative without being intrusive. We had a wonderful time in a relaxing home from home, and we hope to go back at some point in the future to see some of the sights that were closed due to Covid.

Brilliant if you truly want to get away from it all! The cottage is in a rural location, down a long drive from a narrow Devon country lane so you can't go out without being in the car but it was just what we wanted after the strangeness of 2020!
Saying that you are only 15 minutes from South Molton so not far to do shopping, and the cottage is ideally placed to explore the North Devon coast and Exmoor.
The cottage had everything we needed and the owners are both really nice and helpful.

If you're happy to really get away from it all then this is perfect. The lovely rural location was so peaceful, it was a pleasure to take the dog for early morning walks round the local roads which were virtually traffic free. The cottage has large comfortable rooms and was a great for for a family of four adults.

Perfect get away with elderly parents.
Perfect get away with elderly parents. Only reason for the 7 was no WiFi though this wouldn’t be an issue for some families and was a shame we couldn’t share some photos in real time. If you like peace and quiet. Perfect. If you want a bit more of a mix great location to visit Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, Westward Ho and Lynton/Lynmouth (my fave)

Second time we have stayed here and we just love it , the cottage is very spacious , we just love the log burner . It has stunning views over the north Devon countryside. Lovely cream tea on arrival . Very dog friendly although no enclosed garden , very friendly owners too . 10 minutes drive to South Molton which has plenty of takeaways to choose from , a small convenience store and a sainsburys supermarket and a few pubs . Very good location for getting around north Devon and Cornwall . Will come and stay again ?
