Great vacation spot

This truly was a slice of paradise. The view from the hotel was amazing, as was the service and hospitality. All the meals were delicious, and the free breakfast was an added bonus!! The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. If you get a chance to walk around the island, you should do it because Union Island is a fantastic destination. Definitely one of the best vacation spots in the Caribbean.

We loved the staff! They were amazing. Te Nuts is not for everyone. Very uniquely set right on Chatham bay and remote and quiet. We hiked up and out to Clifton and to Ashton both hikes provided panoramic vista of unsurpassed beauty But it’s not a place for people who want lots of nightlife it is truest “old” Caribbean and loved it

Wir waren begeistert und werden wiederkommen! Die Chatham Bay ist eine ca. 2km lange Bucht auf der windgeschützten Seite von Union Island. Die Anreise ist nur per Fähre und dann per Wassertaxi (ca. 20 min) möglich. Oder als Segler. Es gibt keine regelmäßigen Flüge nach Union Island. Die Bucht hat durchgehenden Sandstrand, der nach ca. 10m über eine kleinere Felskante in tieferes Wasser übergeht. Durch diese Felskante ist die gesamte Bucht ein Schnorchelparadies. Am nördlichen Ende der Bucht liegen noch ein paar kleinere Strandbars, die hauptsächlich von Seglern frequentiert werden. Das Hotel liegt in einem gepflegten Gelände am südlichen Teil der Bucht direkt am Strand. Zum Hotel gehören lediglich vier einzelne Villen, eine Bar, Restaurant und ein Pool. Jede Villa liegt etwas erhöht im Hang. Zu jeder Villa gehört eine Terrasse, ein großer rundum verglaster stilvoll ausgestatteter Raum mit Bett, und ein nach hinten herausgehendes Bad. Zur Ausstattung gehören Nespresso-Maschine, Wasserkocher, Safe, Kühlschrank. Wir hatten Frühstück inklusive gebucht. Die Qualität der Küche ist hervorragend und abwechslungsreich, besonders zu erwähnen ist die Pizza aus dem Holzofen, aus selbst hergestelltem Teig. Aus dem Restteig des Vorabends und der Restwärme des Ofens gibt es morgens ein schönes krosses Brot. Wegen der kleinen Anzahl an Gästen ergibt sich ein nettes Miteinander, auch mit den beiden Inhabern (Iwona und Antonia) und dem Personal. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Very relaxing stay on secluded peace of beach in beautiful bay of Chatham Bay. Arrived by water taxi (easiest way to reach resort). Nice clean room with gorgeous view. Comfortable bar area and infinity pool. Good selections of drinks and wines. We had delicious lobster dinner. Staff polite. Very comfy and good sized bed. Would love to be back one day.

Great service

Great place for a couple of relaxed days. Nice pool, view and rooms. But above all exceptional service. The manager organized on-time PCR tests and a boat transit to Grenada, which is not easy at the moment. We could just lay back and enjoy our time, knowing it is all being taken care of.

We had an excellent stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The location is amazing and the resort is perfect. All staff are friendly and the service is good. I would highly recommend it as a place to disconnect and relax for a few days.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, in sehr toller Lage, abseits allen Trubels. Anreise erfolgt mit dem Wassertaxi, schon das ist ein Abenteuer. Die Resortleiterin ist sehr nett und engagiert, ihre Mitarbeiter sind auch alle sehr freundlich, können einem bei Fragen z.B. zum Essen aber nicht umbedingt weiterhelfen.

Lieux incroyable, un petit coin de paradis isolé très reposant. Nous avons été accueilli par Magdalena notre hôte fort sympathique et souriante. Pour les excursions il suffit de lui en faire la demande et Bradley s'occupera de vous faire parcourir les iles alentours( à couper le souffle) à bord de son petit bateau. Tout le reste du personnel est très serviable, réactif et à l'écoute. Nous avions pris la formule All Inclusive et au niveau des repas nous avons très bien mangé, des produits frais cuisinés sur place (la carte n'est pas très grande mais vaut mieux une petite carte bien maitrisée plutôt qu'un large choix a moitié réussi). Les bungalows sont propres, spacieux et biens équipés. Vous l'auriez compris nous avons adoré notre séjour chez Tenuta. Petit conseil cependant, n'oubliez pas votre produits anti-moustiques ! :)

Die Lage ist super,toller Strand! Erreichbarkeit extrem schwierig,nur mit Boot oder 4x4 Auto, das war uns so vorher nicht bewusst und kommuniziert worden. Personal sollte hinsichtlich Kunden Orientierung geschult werden. Informationen zu Ausflügen zB Tobago Cays, Happy Island nur nach mehrfacher Anfrage erhalten. Ausstattung an sich gut, muss aber auch gewartet werden, zB: Sonnenschirme kaputt und nicht mehr verfügbar, Liegen haben fast alle eine kaputte Rolle; der Besitzer sollte sich hier dringend mehr um sein tolles Anwesen kümmern

Fantastic location, Fantastic sunset! super fast wifi connection, remote and suitable for anyone who wants to get off the beaten track. While road access is difficult, be sure to coordinate with the hotel management to plan for your transfer to the hotel.

Location scenery beautiful and has potential to be a good resort. However, access to the resort, which is very isolated, is bad and not safe to travel to resort after dark. The access problems are not made clear to guests before arrival. This caused us to have to stay in another hotel in Clifton on the first night, even though we had already paid for the Chatham Bay accommodation, doubling our cost. Food services are poor to mediocre.

Bare in mind there is an an additional 300EC Dollars (round trip) for crossing and getting to Chatham Bay by sea taxi. This is not mentioned anywhere on the website and the resort does not provide the service!

Das Hotel liegt sehr schön, das Meer bietet hervorragende Möglichkeiten (Schwimmen, Schnorcheln). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aber man ist halt in der Karibik. Das Hotel muss unbedingt erweitert werden, da es aus unserer Sicht sonst nicht rentabel arbeiten kann.

This hotel is run down and very badly managed. It is neither a club nor a resort and has only three completed cottages. It looks wonderful from a distance and someone has spent a lot money designing and building it, most of which has been wasted because of the total lack of maintenance. The wooden gangway over the beach and the deck around the swimming pool were rotten in places, the sunshades and sunbeds broken and cushions torn. The infinity pool was not working properly although we were told that it was. We were offered no trips, or sports facilities other than two kayaks and there were no reference books for the wonderful bird and marine life. The bar was poorly stocked with spasmodic service. The restaurant menu was limited. Our waiters were either a young girl who could not remember our orders or a Venezuelan who spoke no English. Once, when the young waitress dropped some food on the way to our table she picked it up with her fingers and put it back on the plate. The bedroom was comfortable but the mosquito nets torn and useless. There was no shampoo in the shower room for the first night. The free transfer was by a small open fisherman’s boat which meant that our luggage got wet. The road was impassable because both the hotel jeeps were out of service.

A LONG way to go to become a resort!

"transfer" was not ready for us in town. Waited more than half an hour for a rickety old work truck. Had to jump into the back by stepping on the wheel and held on for dear life as we bumped down a "road" that was basically just boulders. VERY DANGEROUS. Then told to pay for our "taxi" ourselves. A water transfer was supposed to be available which would make the arrival MUCH better. Very quickly learned that unfortunately, they just DON'T know service! The bartender, King, was it's only saving grace- but he was only there for 1 of our 3 days, so we had no access to our "all-inclusive" drinks for 2/3 of our time there, even though pre-paid. The manager was absolutely apathetic and although the only guests of the THREE CABIN location, we seemed to be a giant inconvenience. They have only one tiny menu on offer and they ran out of all but one appetizer by day 2. Also, they could not even poach an egg for breakfast. DO NOT pay for the all-inclusive it is not worth it. There was a fantastic bar down the beach that was incredible, friendly, and offered up their own cooked dinner, for free! Although the location and buildings are beautiful, there are not many other positives. Rooms had cobwebs, pool was unclean, and the food got old real fast. It is a place with potential but at present, they don't seem concerned with serving guests or providing the best experience. Bottom line- if you pay only for the room, you might be content enough, but don't expect much else.

Beautiful rooms, poor service

The rooms were absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The rooms seemed very well kept and seem to have been upgraded as they are very modern. The shower is absolutely amazing especially after a long day soaking in the sun. The views from the cabins were amazing and sunsets even more so. What was disappointing was the fact that it’s very far from everything and basically inaccessible by any means other than boat. This information was not relayed to us and was quite an unpleasant surprise. The beach was also not great and water was full of rocks and seaweed. I didn’t take a swim as it was very unappealing. The quality of the food was also poor and the menu variety even more so. If one was to stay all inclusive for a week, by the 4th day you would have had everything on the menu. The WiFi that was provided had very low signal and this was an inconvenience seeing as there was no form of entertainment (tv/radio) available in the rooms. It took me 2 hrs to watch a 1 hr tv show on Netflix with the WiFi provided. I believe that the hotel has great potential but the management is very poor. I would only recommend this hotel to persons looking for something remote and quiet as not to be bothered by others or by the use of technology.

Love it.

Tenuta Chatham bay resort. If you can visit this 6 star private exclusive hotel. Please try to !! Not only are the staff 110%, Lisa was the best. Helpful, friendly and full of information. My bartender was not only great for conversation but also great all around . The beach is one you can enjoy to yourself. This hotel is so private that you will enjoy the great rooms, their open concept and the view of the water. Clear blue Caribbean see. I just so happen to be the only guest at the time, so I felt very private in the hotel. 6 stars for everything. Visit Tenuate chatham bay resort hidden and private, located on the beautiful island of Union.
