Stunning views of the ocean from our balcony room! Shelter Cove is a very safe, quiet and laid back area. While you canāt walk the beach here, it is very beautiful and unique to look at and ocean views are amazing. Lots of unusual rock formations, sea lion spotted. Deer greeted us in parking lot. We hope to return some day!

What an enjoyable surprise! We didnāt know what to expect but what we got was a beautifully appointed, newly renovated and extremely clean king room. The location was superb with Adirondack chairs for ocean-gazing. We did not use the hot tub and couldnāt light the fire pit. Close to Gyppo restaurant and a coffee shop was in the adjacent hotel. WiFi, TV, coffee makers and refrigerator in the room. We would definitely return to Black sands Inn.

Itās a life changing experience. The scenery is espectacular. I highly recommend the tours, they are one of a kind experience. Frankie was our guide, heās extremely knowledgeable and will provide you so much history of the place and background on the local ecosystem.

arrived in time for a complimentary wine & cheese happy hour. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was helpful to point us to gas station and start of "Avenue of Giants". Complimentary breakfast was fantastic with Denver omelets, etc.

The property is a wonderfully updated motel. While not on Hwy 101 it is on the main st thru town. The rooms were clean and comfortable with the best Wi-Fi in town and smart tvs. The motel was easy to find with nice bar/restaurant next door serving food til midnight.

First time staying and I regret never doing it before. The view from our first floor balcony was amazing. Plus there is a walkway to get to the harbor right out back. Room was very clean and exactly how they describe. The ice machine was centrally located and biggest i've seen. Room was quite. Almost like we were the only ones there. Can't wait to go back.
