Luxurious Glamping Dome Oasis in the Heart of The Catskills, 1.5 HR from NYC.

"Angel was a very kind and generous host. The property was as listed, clean and hospitable. The only downside to this stay was weather, but nothing can be done about that. We were still able to cook outdoors with the provided propane grill, and stay warm with the propane firepit. The inclusion of those two things was very thoughtful & useful given the weather.Something future guests should expect1. Compost toilets. Premise is off-grid aside from power. I did not experience any issues with the toilets & the restrooms were clean, well stocked & there were no bad odors. So if that's a concern, you can put that to rest. Although I think most reasonable people will expect the lack of plumbing, its worth putting that out there. Sink in bathroom is powered with a foot pump with separate fresh and grey water tanks. Simple and functional.2. Shower. You will be needing the hot water, as without it, its ICE COLD. Hot water seemed limited, so be quick & efficient in the shower. No long relaxing showers here. DONT REPEAT THE MISTAKE I MADE and turn hot water valve all the way to max. Not only will this result in scolding hot water at first, but you will use up all the heated water almost instantaneously. Turn the valve ever-so-slightly to extend the warm water. If there's one take-away from this review, its this tip. I was grateful for having the option of a shower however, as in a real camping trip, you will not have that luxury, & you will certainly not choose the temp of the lake."

"While the room itself was clean, there were several issues that make this a bad stay. Both of the sheets were clean, but had some orange and red stains. The towels provided were tattered and had significant holes in them. The gap between the outside door and the floorboard was quite large, with nothing stopping bugs/mice from coming inside. I stayed in room 3, and I could hear whispers from room 2 like they were right next to me, so don’t expect any privacy. Finally, when we arrived we were told there would be housekeeping. After getting back from a long day, it became clear that housekeeping had not come. Not only were the beds not made, but our towels had not been changed. We had left them on the floor expecting them to have been swapped and as such we had nothing to dry ourselves off with and were unable to shower. This was not a scheduling issue either, we left at 7:30 AM and got back the next morning at 1:03 AM. There’s also a single lock for the door, and it’s a chain latch. If you’re staying here, being your own towels, and mind any critters that come from under the door."

"If you are allergic to a cat, there is a lot of cats… I booked through Expedia. Upon arrival, the front desk couldn’t find my reservation and insisted on creating a new one with my card. After much insistence, they located it but had no room ready, forcing me to wait. Placed in a room with a strong urine smell (likely dog) in the bathroom. No room number signs in the hallway, and the same odor was in the main first-floor bathroom. No Wi-Fi password provided. Breakfast was okay. Photos on Expedia were misleading. Not sure if I’d return."

"My stay was wonderful overall! The only issue we experienced was that our cell phones only worked while connected to WiFi, which made it difficult at times to contact the host by call or text. Other than that, everything was great and we enjoyed our stay."
