Perfect location for our very short stay in San Jose. 5 minutes from the airport, free airport shuttle from the car rental place, which was next to the hotel. Good breakfast too!

Staff was friendly and responsive. The location was hard to find in the dark. There was heated mattress pads and a heater for warmth the night we were there. The facilities and property looked beautiful, we were not there long enough to to enjoy.

Enjoy the volcano viewpoints and explore Barva Volcano, a lovely green space in Vara Blanca. Savor the top-notch restaurants and charming coffeehouses while in town.
The Peace Lodge hands down has the best staff I have ever had. We felt like family there. The General Manager, Roy, was our favorite. Freddy at Guest Services, Daniel and Melvin at the restaurants, Henry and John who worked w/ animals were A+ staff!
Beautiful town, a bit too quiet for my taste.
I would highly recommend a trip to this area. Exactly how I had envisioned classic Costa Rica!
