Bella Vista is detached, sleeps 4 bungalow located on an elevated terrace in a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the English Channel in the uniquely interesting Victorian seaside town of Ventnor, on the Island's south coast. Accessed via 21 steps and perched up high to enjoy a stunning sea vista this well-presented detached bungalow home has a comfortable king-size bedroom with an ensuite walk-in shower facility, a twin bedroom with separate shower room and a luxury walk-in shower enclosure. The open plan living space has gorgeous south-facing sea views and patio doors to access the front terrace area with table and chairs. The dining area also enjoys the superb aspect and is open plan to the modern and well-equipped kitchen to the rear of the house. There is ample parking for 2 cars and one small dog is allowed at a charge of GBP35.00 per week.

Excellent villa and location which is brilliantly equipped. Island Holidays are friendly and easy to deal with. A thoroughly enjoyable break and our dog loved it too.

We loved staying at Bella Vista. Everything was very clean and looked brand new. Both bathrooms were modern with walk in showers. There was everything that you could need to have a home from home stay. We could sit either on the sunny terrace or the roomy lounge looking through the double patio doors out to the sea view. We loved staying there and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The steps up to the property were difficult for me as I have breathing problems but they didn't detract from the immaculate, homely bungalow that we enjoyed staying in so much.

Very comfortable house with stupendous views across the bay but needs some attention to detail to be perfect. The beds were comfy but a bit saggy in the middle, the lounge was comfy but the armchairs and sofa are made for people of 6ft with very long legs! The walk up from the town and beach is long and very steep, which was ok for some of us but others should be aware - but there is a bus. The en-suite bathroom was left half cleaned with rubbish on the floor and a dirty sink with a dirty cloth left in it and debris on the floor to greet us - but the rest of the house was spotless. A litany of minor defects too: a cracked cafetiere; the odd light not working; the main bathroom sink plug got stuck down from time to time and was difficult to open; we couldn't open the main bathroom window because there was no key; the wi-fi didn't work on our phones (but it did on other's) and the agency said they couldn't help with that (even though it is advertised and that is a main service these days); most of the kitchen knives were quite blunt to say the least; the back door was jammed shut so there was only one way out (fire risk). The dish washer was good but we could have done with extra crockery and cutlery to save frequent running of it and induction hob takes some getting used to if you're not already. And finally, although the blurb warns about there being 21 steps up to the front door, it didn't say that the steps are very high steps also made for long legs. But we got fitter as the week went by and despite all the minor defects, we had a comfortable stay and a great week!

You won't be disappointed with this property. Very comfortable, clean and spacious accommodation in a superb state of decoration and excellently appointed to a high specification throughout, with everything you could need so you only have to do food shopping. Furniture and appliances, even the bedroom TVs and Freeview boxes, are good quality and condition rather than the marginally-better-than-nothing Gumtree specials so often used to furnish rentals. It's located off Zig Zag road on a quiet close, zero disturbance despite proximity to the town and very private without being overlooked despite being in a residential area. The single parking space is generous and can easily accommodate a large vehicle. The frontage has a sun-trap terrace looking out to sea, fenced and gated so dogs can't escape, and with plenty of room for the table and available lean-back chairs. It all results in a property that feels like a home rather than a holiday let. We genuinely can't fault it and intend to return which will make it only the second property we've used more than once in over 15 years of regularly visiting the island. Two notes for future residents: 1. Something to consider for dog owners, the property has only shubbery, no garden, meaning any canine bathroom visit is a walk away which is only short but will entail several flights of steps to get to grass. Didn't bother us but obviously is less convenient than just opening a door to a lawn. There is a small patch of astroturf by the porch, but it seemed a bit inappropriate to use that. 2. Don't do what I did and get Amazon parcels sent there, there is no key for the post box available.
