Great motel!

Property was a pleasant surprise for a roadway motel. Room was clean and comfortable. Fixtures and bathroom were a little dated but the beds were comfortable.

We requested a pet friendly room but Expedia didn't convey that to the motel and all pet rooms were full. Very disappointed with Expedia! You need to make sure that request gets to the motel.

Staff was great and helpful. Check in was pretty easy.Room was clean had clean smell. The shower tile looked gross but did not effect my nice hot shower.

I enjoyed my stay at Split mountain. It’s nothing extravagant but it was a quiet place to stay while working in Vernal. It’s a bit out dated but clean. Sam spoke with me and they’re trying to clean up the place. That’s good to hear because it’s affordable and they have smoking rooms. I’ll definitely book again when I work up here again.

Wouldn’t stay here unless no other choice.

At check in the owner asks tons of questions even though room was paid for prior to trip. Road noise from the highway traffic is terrible. Definitely bring sound machine.

Not cheap enough to be worth it

The vent in the bathroom did not work. The shower grout was full of black mold. There were ants in the breakfast buffet room. The room smelled so strongly of lemon scent cleaner it was choking. The toilet seat was very loose. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

Very outdated. We weren’t given enough towels, used coffee filter was left in coffee pot. Breakfast was minimal. We had a room next to a highway and the door had gaps so it was extremely noisy from traffic. We were disappointed that Expedia offered this location.

This place was a total dive. Rejected the first room. Shower looked like someone died in it. Staff barely spoke english. At first tried to act like the shower was fine. I said I needed a refund and they did move me to a different room which was at least reasonably clean although not in great shape. Definitely will never stay there again.

There was an unsafe electrical outlet outside of the wall. Crazy. Fire hazard and unsafe if anyone touched exposed wires. The free breakfast was unmanned. Not a lot of options. Pancakes. White bread. 2 cereal options with small amount of milk….. at 7am. Coffee machine was good

Property is not kept up. Towels were stained, thin. Carpet was newer but not finished, trim was hanging off the walls. Outlets were hanging off the wall - safety issue. One Power strip for all appliances- TV, frig, microwave. Breakfast was deplorable - only tiny muffins and waffle batter was unusable (not mixed properly). Washer was reasonable but dryers were not clean.

Could be worse, could be better.

The place itself was not horrible for what you are paying for. Only issues with the room was a stained shower, and the bed didn't seem like it had been washed for some time, especially the pillows. At 9 in the morning, two hours before check-out, we were woken up to loud banging and nothing being said. When I finally checked the door, no one was even there. As I said before, check out time is at 11. Yet our cards were deactivated at least an hour before then. So if you are leaving and packing up, be sure to leave your door open a crack to gather the rest of your things because your card will not work. Either way, for one night and the pricing, it could be worse. But there were so many things that seemed off for any kind of motel.

I don’t complain often, but the state of my room was ridiculous in my opinion. I red reviews online that stated the dirtiness of the rooms but I thought that it was exaggerated, but they were an understatement, at least for my room. The carpet was absolutely filthy, there was gunk all over the walls and trash cans. In the bathroom the walls were covered in hairs from who knows where and there were stains on those walls. All the blankets on both beds were terribly stained all over. I didn’t realize that until I looked over the room the next morning after I slept in the bed. The pillows were very dirty as well. I understand that you get what you pay for but for what I paid and what I received was crazy. There are much better hotels in the area that would be much better for a nights rest.

Could not find our reservations so almost did not get a room. The lady at check in worked really hard to find it and then accommodated for us to be on bottom level due to be on motorcycles. Had to take batteries out of smoke detector at 1:30am. But over all decent place for a quick overnight.

Great place!

Great affordable place to stay, service was helpful and provided great recommendations for what to do and eat in town. Definitely will be staying again when I’m back in Vernal.
