Jean-Phillipe had some local wines available to sample and also has a BBQ that can be used and a games room. The swimming pool was very clean and everything very well maintained. It’s a short drive to Saumur where there are shops and restaurants and activities such as bike hire. Would recommend."

"Excellent campsite, the perfect size for us as we are not a fan of large campsites. It is was fairly quiet and the accommodation (we stayed in a cabin) was clean, modern and reasonably well spaced. It was very well equipped and little items like a dish cloth and washing liquid ect just make the difference. It is just a really well done site. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend. Our 3 year old loved the pool."

"This was our second visit, because we loved Rousse so much last year. It's still gorgeous and we loved it just as much this year. We are a family with grandparents, parents, and tiny children and everyone loved the spaciousness, the kitchen, the garden and the swimming pool. We were there during a heatwave and we found it rather challenging during that time but otherwise it was the same ancient old manoir that we would recommend to anyone who is looking for a retreat in a beautiful area of France where you will be the only visitors. There is lots to do, you just need to adjust to the fact that you are not in a region that tourists typically go to, in the countryside (which we think is part of Rousse's massive charm)."
