"The property is lovely and the pool is great. The room was very dated. Non of our beds were made, there were no shampoos or bodywash..only hand soap for the sink. The kettle had chunks of white gunk coming out of it when we tried to make a cup of tea. I tried repeatedly to contact the hotel regarding our reservation with little to no reply. The manager said she would look into it for us after we checked out a day early, but we still haven't heard anything."

"Since our flight was late, we needed to arrive after check-in time. The staff was very accommodating, leaving our key in a locked safe and allowing us to check- in the next day. The 24 hour laundry service was fantastic, allowing us to pack fewer clothes. Many good restaurants nearby, as stated. Being able to go to supermarket and cook in your accommodation made our trip very relaxing and our time was our own. There was no pressure. We would visit Residence Pierre & Vacancies Chant de Oi"

"This property has a very convenient location - we were able to walk the train station as well as to all local sites, restaurants, and the meeting point for tours. We were given a family-sized room with beds for six people, even though there were only two of us. It had the only king-size bed that we experienced during our trip to Paris and Normandy. However, there was no decor to speak of, so the room had a rather cold dormitory feel. We would have opted for the hotel breakfast, but it was served too late for us to get to our 7:55 am tour on time. There was only one tiny coffee shop in town that opened at 7:30, so we did manage to get a cup of coffee to start our day. The hotel should definitely begin their breakfast service earlier!"

"Good location but I stayed at the “jardin” part of the hotel which was a bit confusing at first. When I checked in at the main location they sent me a long way around ( and I was carrying a 25 pound backpack). I only discovered by accident a shorter route. I probably walked an extra 500 meters."

"This hotel was truly a hidden gem. We discovered it on Orbitz after a very disappointing experience at the Ibis Budget, and we could not have been happier with our choice.The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, with fans and windows that opened, providing plenty of fresh air, which made a big difference. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. They also recommended a fantastic local restaurant for dinner, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit we went there twice. If you're visiting Caen and looking for a welcoming, comfortable place to stay, I would highly recommend this hotel."
