"The hotel was perfect for a quick getaway! The pool area was a little oasis, the hot tub was the perfect temperature, the room was spotless, the bartender makes amazing drinks and the beds were comfortable! The only negative is that if you have loud neighbors the walls are a little thin. Luckily it was only one night."

"We came on the train for a weekend get away and called to request an early check in and were told the rooms were sold out. The front desk employee Mark suggested we freshened up at the train station bathroom because people “destroy” their lobby bathroom. As a paying guest, I found that extremely rude. We were later told by another employee they were not sold out for the night which means he could have accommodated our early check in request. He was just rude and his energy was weird and concerning."

"I gave Zindel Hotel in San Diego a 3 out of 5. The staff was friendly and helpful. Jeff at the front desk was great and extremely helpful—he actually improved my overall impression from a 1 to a 3. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and nice. The location is convenient, close to the airport and main tourist attractions (about a 5–10 minute drive). We used Uber. Little Italy nearby has a nice vibe. The rooms were very clean, and guests had access to complimentary coconut water, regular bottled water, milk, yogurt, snacks, and hot beverages, all included at no extra cost. However, there are several drawbacks. Some rooms share a bathroom, and my room, for example, had a wall very close to the window, which made it feel dark. The front desk was not always staffed—no one was there on Monday, and at times during other shifts as well. There is no early check-in unless you pay an additional fee. There was also a strong urine smell around the building on the sidewalks. Additionally, the property is not accessible for people who cannot use stairs—there are no ramps or elevators."

"Overrated, they have a daily amenity fee that no one tells you about, I asked and they say they’re charging for the nesspreso machine and coffee and the gym. The staff is mainly rude. The location is great, it was overall clean and I liked the toiletries. You can do a much better hotel in San Diego for the same price."
