Saint Rocco festival in Vitigliano: the "luminare" and the fireworks. Everyone knows the Salento for its beautiful beaches and its views, for the goodness of local cuisine and the charm of its many traditions. La Torre Miggiano was probably built in the sixteenth century to protect the port and to the defense of the miners working quarries carparo stone and sent the segments throughout the county to provide useful material for construction. Now these ancient ruined structures create a unique landscape, surrounded by clear water that flows into the bay of Porto Miggiano.
