We loved our short stay on the farm! The hosts were friendly. Our kids got to help feed the animals treats before bed and our youngest went on a short horseback ride before we left in the morning. It was a great in between spot on our way to Acadia.

The owner’s of the property were so welcoming! We felt right at home. They showed us around, introduced us to all of the farm animals and even provided us with gallons of water incase we didn’t want to drink from their well water. It was the perfect cozy stay. You can’t hear the road or anyone for miles.

I booked this stay for my daughter and her family’s visit. We live in the next town but don’t have room for them to stay. Birchwood Farms was perfect! Denise and Bruce are wonderful, friendly hosts and not only gave a tour of their farm but my daughter and her 8 year old were delighted to have a horseback ride on Finnegan. They’d be happy to stay again on a future visit.

Great Farm Stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay in Waldoboro while visiting my daughter in Rockland. The farm is in a beautiful location and Denise & Bruce could not be more welcoming. I only wish we had the time to spend a little more time on our porch, but it was a quick visit.

One-night stay with Denise and Bruce! Such a lovely farm stay — we loved Jersey Mike. And the smiling horse, as well chickens, rabbits, and sheep!! Denise took the time to show us around— we enjoyed feeding the animals. And to see her spinning wheels!! The rooms were very comfortable, and we could’ve loved to stay a week!!

Relaxing stay

Very clean, very quiet, very comfortable, relaxing stay. Denise was traveling, but Bruce was a font of knowledge about the farm and the area. Certainly recommend to anyone in the area.

Quiet Peaceful Retreat

This is a lovely quiet, very clean and peaceful place to stay. The hosts are friendly, gave us a fun tour of the farmyard and we met and gave treats to all the animals. A great place for families with children!

Lovely farm stay!

We had the most wonderful time at this farm stay. Denise and Bruce were amazing hosts! The accommodations were very comfortable and the animals were amazing! We were able to see/interact with horses, a cow, sheep, chickens and rabbits! Highly recommend!!
