"A beautiful remote property, situated in the countryside. 10 minutes walk to a lovely, award winning pub with stunning food and friendly staff. 15-20 minutes drive to the nearest supermarket. The owners of this property, who live next door, were very welcoming and friendly. They've thought of everything, including a welcome pack of milk, bread and butter. "Brilliant Staff throughout the hotel….friendly, efficient, nothing too much for them! Food fresh and superb👌 Location peaceful with easy access in every direction. We spent 3 days driving the coast and around most of Norfolk and coming back to the peaceful hotel was what we needed. A minor glitch with their internet the first day which was speedily sorted. Definitely come back to The Harper next time we come to beautiful Notfolk."

"The room was huge and very comfortable. Bath and shower were both fabulous. The hotel staff were very friendly. Breakfast was superb and the breakfast room was very light and airy. We had drinks from the bar and sat in the games room which was fab playing dominoes and solitaire. We had a wonderful stay thankyou so much."

"Check-in was perfunctory and lacking in warmth. My husband and I were also very disappointed to be told that the pool and spa closed at 7pm. After a long drive, we arrived at 6:45pm intending to relax in the spa before retiring. We understand that the spa was open until 8pm (on the pool board, it did say it closed at 8pm). 7pm is early for a spa to close and it doesn't open for an early morning swim either; we felt cheated. The hotel is on a cliff, so has lots of steps, which we had overlooked. At late notice a room without steps was kindly made available. The ensuite studio room was pleasant, comfortable and well equipped but sounds from the surrounding rooms could be heard. The room and equipment were mostly clean. A wooden spoon and PVC apron would be good additions. Ideally, we would prefer an 11am checkout, as 10am is a bit of a rush, especially with self-catering. Visually the spa lacked lustre but it was true to the photographs; a few plants would improve the general ambience and relaxation. The pool and jacuzzi were good, the sauna was rather small and steam room wasn't really steamy. The pool, sauna and steam room were clean but the poolside was a little dirty with leaves and debris in the seating area. We didn't use the restaurant, gym or games room but the communal herb pots and beach toys were a lovely touch. We enjoyed a few chives. Overall, if the price was right, I would be happy to return with the family, this time knowing the country clubs shortfalls."

"Had a two night weekend break. Arrived earlier than checkin time but were able to leave the car in the carpark - note there is £15 per 24 hr fee. When we did checkin my partner's birthday was acknowledged and our room was upgraded! Room was spacious. A little worn in places but overall clean and comfortable. Had drinks in the bar but ate out other than breakfast. Breakfast was all buffet style but worked well. Would stay again if returning to the area."

"Beautiful place, rooms are lovely and facilities are great. The only negatives are the rituals are booked on a paper sheet and numbers are very limited, we were there for 2 days and didnt manage to get on a single one even though only 2 of us. Would have been better if I could have prebooked online. Also we needed to leave at 7am but reception was closed and of the 3 numbers only 1 answered, ended up leaving 15mins late which impacted our other activities. Will know for next time as will definitely be going back."
