Mountain View Chalet
The Space: Mountain View Chalet is a beautiful, purpose-built, modern, alpine chalet. It is located 5 minutes’ walk from the heart of the Wanaka lake front and township with its cafes, restaurants, bars, supermarket, shopping and playgrounds. On arrival, you’ll instantly feel at home with that soaring feeling that gives you the sense you are high in the mountains. The high ceilings, spacious rooms, artwork and large windows come together to set the tone of a luxurious yet practical property, perfect for sun and snow chasers alike. The property is well suited for both those special breaks away and family holidays.
Starting on the ground floor, immediately to your right is an internal access garage, which is also well suited as an additional space for young ones to hang out as well as for storing your biking and boating equipment or in the winter months, to hold your skis and snowboards. Also provided are drying facilities for all your ski clothing.
Making the most of the open plan living upstairs, all 3 bedrooms are situated on the ground floor – keeping you cooler in the summer months. Each bedroom has their own, individual entrance leading out to the wrap-around courtyard and outdoor seating area where you can bask in the all-day sun.
The master bedroom sits at the front of the house with its own private deck, walk in wardrobe and ensuite. Continue further around to the second and third bedrooms that sit between the large, shared bathroom and laundry area and each have their own generous wardrobe and storage space. Move upstairs to the kitchen, which has been well-designed to give you the freedom to move about and have several cooking stations going at once. Or even better, watch from the other side of the bench with a glass of wine on one of the breakfast barstools.
If outdoor cooking is your thing, there is a gas barbeque located on the deck adjacent to the kitchen and living area. It’s the perfect spot for taking in those alpine vistas whilst your breakfast or dinner sizzles on the hot plate.
If you need even more R&R, the living room is a peaceful space with the log burner as the focal point and the TV for when you’re wanting to relax with the music channel going in the background. The main house consists of three generously proportioned bedrooms. There is also the added convenience of a private workspace and guest toilet upstairs.
Mountain View Chalet is a true, laid-back New Zealand experience. Whatever the time of year you plan to stay, it will cater to all your needs.

This is self-catering accommodation however for your convenience, we will get you started with a few rolls of toilet paper, hand soap, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent along with a couple of tea towels, dishcloth, 2 bin liners and laundry liquid. We use only eco-friendly cleaning products. Sheets and towels are provided. We recommend you bring your own beach towels.
The Neighborhood: Located in the heart of Wanaka, Mountain View Chalet is an easy 5-minute stroll to Wanaka’s retail stores, eateries and lakefront.
Interaction with Guests: Wanaka Holiday Homes office hours are Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm and Saturday: 9am to 2pm. We are available after hours for urgent matters. You will be provided with arrival instructions one week prior to arrival. This is self catering holiday home accommodation. We provide sheets and towels but you will need to bring you own personal supplies.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Everything that we could possibly need had been thought of. (The beds were amazingly comfortable). It was an easy walk into town and the waterfront. We would love to return and definitely recommend.
We had a great time with our teenage son. House was sunny, spacious, great open plan upper floor with mountain views, kitchen well-equipped.

The Mountain Chalet is everything you need for a fantastic stay in Wānaka. We loved the quiet neighborhood location where we could easily walk to shops and restaurants in town. The house is decorated with top of the line appliances and other amenities throughout that make for a very comfortable and pleasant stay.
Place is just as described and pictured-lovely open plan kitchen and living, great for our family to relax and catch up. Such a short walk into town, all the amenities, great showers, and the house is exceptionally warm. We would stay again.
