The room worked well for us. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean and cool in the hot summer nights. Staff went above and beyond to help us out when we had to leave early. Thank you so much for a great stay.

Charming cottage feel

This was a lovely little roadside hotel with a cottage feel. Our room was very clean and well appointed. Great location with lake view and park view. Paragliders landed in the park while we were there. The laundry room is very convenient and there is a private clothes line to hang dry! Wanaka is a beautiful town with great restaurants and shopping. I wish we would have skipped Tekapo and stayed here another night or two instead.

Studio or Chalet

Beware your booking is Studio or Chalet. My booking is Studio and it's actually the basement of private room (rentaler living?). All other are Chalets with better quality. Studio has window but you can't see outside scenery as you are in basement. All facilities are ok and room has reasonable size.There are 4 parking spaces only and you can park at opposite public car with unlimited time. The location is at the middle of lake front so you are conveniently going to both sides.

We stayed as a family (2 adults, 2 kids) in the 3-bedroom chalet — ideal for a group of six. The layout was roomy enough for the four of us and likely perfect for accommodating six comfortably. The full kitchen was a huge bonus: we could prepare meals ourselves which made things far easier and more relaxed than relying on restaurants for every meal. For a family with kids, having that kitchen made everything so much more convenient. The location is absolutely amazing. The chalet has lovely lake and mountain views and is only a short walk from the lakefront, town centre shops, cafes and restaurants. We walked almost everywhere during our stay — and that easy access made for a very relaxed holiday rhythm. One highlight: on a family-bike day around the lake we appreciated how easy it was to return to the motel for quick breaks or “nature-call” stops, thanks to the proximity and convenience. Having a central base like this really made it easier to enjoy the lake and surrounding scenery without having to plan around a car. Overall — great for a family getaway: roomy chalet, useful kitchen, unbeatable location and lovely views. If you want to be close to the lake/town and enjoy self-catering and flexibility, this place works wonderfully.

We booked this stay through Expedia on November 13, still planning rest of trip and decided maybe best to stay 2 nights in Wānaka, messaged hotel directly asking if we could add a night. No response so booked in Twizel. Arrive in Wanaka for our 1 night stay and leave next morning and PIp says no you are staying 2 nights that’s why I upgraded you. I said you never sent me a confirmation email, she said I did the 13th our stay was the 15th and we were flying from Sydney. You can’t wait a month to say yes you have a room available another night. I asked for a refund for second night and she said that’s not possible. I need to get a cleaning lady in here and hope I can rent room. I offered to help clean room and there was only 1 other family there. I will be disputing charge with my credit card!

여유로워서 좋았어요

숙소 자체는 한적하고 여유로웠습니다. 날벌레들이 있고, 샤워시설이 살짝 맘에 안들었던거 말고는 공간도 여유있고 좋았어요. 아침 체크아웃시간이 10시라서 다른 숙소보다 약간 촉박한것 빼고는 괜찮습니다.

Fantastic motel experience in Wanaka

Motel was well sited within easy walking to shops and perfect lake views. Kitchen had everything you need and comfy beds. Great shower too with excellent pressure. Lovely host who checked in and was able to offer practical suggestions. Will stay there again

Good option in Wanaka

We had a pleasant stay at this Hotel , we got a front room with nice views overs the park to the lake, We had some hot weather so AC would have been useful, Other than that all was good , would stay again.
