This QUIET gorgeous, newly renovated find with designer touches is perfect for your D.C. stay. With an unbeatable “walkscore” of 99, the apartment is super close to the Monuments, Museums, Mall, and White House (approx. 10 minutes by car). For those who prefer the metro, the nearest station (U Street) is very close — less than a 5-minute walk! Great spot in DC!

Had everything we needed and price was comparable to a hotel room. Much more space and very convenient to the metro, coffee shops and restaurants. Would absolutely stay again.

Quiet Oasis

Wonderful property within walking distance to Capitol Hill. Communication with property owners was outstanding. They reserved the parking spot for us right in front of the building. Place was super nice and clean. Would definitely recommend anyone staying there.

Great stay!

There was a small mishap with checking in, but when I contacted the host she responded right away and fixed the issue. I would like to mention the few steps (I think 4 steps) to get to the front door are on the steep side. Did not bother myself or my husband but I could understand if it’s difficult for someone with mobility issues. Overall we loved the location and the cleanliness!

Short DC Stay near U Street

Overall, the place was nice. The noise from the street on the weekend is a bit much and the shattered glass on the street is a bit off putting. Nothing the property can control since is so close to a high traffic U Street. My only suggestion that needs immediate attention is the swarm of mosquitoes at the front door. If that can be handled with some sort of repellent, the listing is 5/5.

Reviewer Comments: The property was perfect for me as a single traveller and was as described. Clean, well appointed and quiet. I would rent again.The only issue was the owner's company and its interface with VRBO, which created communication challenges. Both VRBO and the property manager were responsive through their separate emails/phone numbers, but the confusion was never fully resolved and I couldn't communicate through the VRBO site.

Nice place, communication could be better

Spent a long weekend with the family. The unit is fairly nice and we appreciated the well stacked kitchen and comfortable bed. Location is walking distance to restaurants and shops but still relatively quiet. Street parking was always available. You will need visitor a parking permit which was provided. We reached out to customer service a couple of times and had a difficult time getting a response. We had a 12 pm check-out but cleaning service showed up at 10:30 am, although they left to return later. Overall nice apartment, management could improve their communication.

The location is perfect for those who like a vibrant nightlife, but we were looking for a more subdued environment. The backyard was less than inviting due to having to climb a steep set of stairs (making it inaccessible for those with mobility issues) and no exit. The backyard also faces the rear of a building and parking lot.Speaking of parking, a little more information about the street parking arrangements would have been appreciated.Still, the property was adequate for our needs and well stocked. Charlotte was a pleasure.

First time in DC

The apartment was very nicely appointed and clean. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. We had a few small issues and Charlotte was quick to respond. Be aware the one bathroom is attached to the bedroom. If you have additional guests using the pull out sofa, they must walk through the bedroom to access the bathroom. The apartment is walkable to pretty much everything. However, the walk can be anywhere from 1.5 miles to almost 4 miles (Jefferson Memorial) to your destination NOT including the walk back. You also need to account for all the walking that you do when you get to your destination, including back to the apartment. There were 3 of us and we took an Uber to our destination in the morning ($12-20) spent the day sightseeing, ate dinner, and walked back to the apartment. We walked anywhere from 4-6 miles a day 5 days in a row. Probably not practical with small children or those not capable of walking long distances and being on your feet for most of the day. Trader Joe's is a 0.4 mile walk. If you like ice cream, Jeni's Homemade Ice cream is across the street from Trader Joe's. We parked our car on the street right outside the apartment and never moved it for 6 days!

Lovely apartment conveniently located

We were in town to visit our brand-new grandson, so the location was perfect for us to visit easily. Pros: Convenient location on lovely tree-lined street. There were many places to eat within easy walking distance. Very well-equipped and spacious kitchen area. Comfortable bedroom (a little tight but still nice) and very comfy bed. Plenty of towels and bathroom items, including a hair dryer. Reliable wi-fi. Walkable neighborhood. Effective and accurate communication for check-in/check-out. Gracious host.Cons: Steps to the front door are loose in places, and it is a little unsteady going down. Some of the furniture is a little worn and probably could use a good cleaning or even replacement. The floor going into the kitchen is a bit of a trip hazard. You can hear the upstairs neighbor moving around periodically. Overall, we would stay at this location again.

Nice place neighborhood was Iffy

The place was well-cleaned and usable. We paid for a late hour until noon, but the cleaner knocked on the door at 10:00 and did not understand a word of English when I tried to explain that we had paid for the extra hours. My wife and I exited withing 20 minutes.

Great stay at good price!

Stayed for a week to see the sights around DC. The apartment was clean, quiet, and close to Trader Joe's, restaurants, and the best coffee we've had on a trip (the Coffee Bar is just a short walk away). Was a very pleasant stay!
