Snugly nestled between two gorgeous state parks, this oceanside oasis serves up the best of the California coast and you're mere steps from the beach. Sip your favorite beverage and watch the waves roll in from the rooftop deck of this three-story home. Oozing in beach-house charm, the main living floor features an open-concept living area as well as a fully-equipped kitchen. An adjoining patio conveniently hosts a gas grill. An additional deck boasts al fresco dining with endless Pacific vistas.

On the ground floor, a main suite offers an en suite bathroom as well as a private deck with a hot tub and outdoor shower. Two additional bedrooms each have a TV and share a full bathroom in the hallway. On the second floor, discover dual suites - each with an en suite bathroom and TV. Shared community amenities at this snowbird-friendly getaway include tennis, basketball, and volleyball. Beach chairs, water sports gear, an umbrella, and boogie board are provided.

We recently stayed at this house and it's a beautiful space, with a fantastic layout that's perfect for a large group. The location is excellent—it's very quiet and peaceful and just a short walk to the beach. The living areas were very comfortable, and we appreciated the high-quality furniture and amenities.However, it's important for future guests to be aware of a few issues we encountered. There was a noticeable mildew odor throughout the house. Additionally, the linens on the beds had an unpleasant odor, and we had to wash them to make them usable.Unfortunately, the hot tub was not operational during our stay. This was disappointing as it was a key feature for our group, and we were only notified of the issue on our arrival date.While the house has great potential, these issues affected our overall experience. We hope the host addresses them for future guests.

We stayed here with family and friends, and it was exactly what we needed. The house was spacious, had a beautiful view of the ocean from the deck and the hot tub was an added bonus! Only minor comment was that we were a party of 7 and the house only had 4 beach towels. Not a big deal at all, but we're all ocean swimmers and needed more towels. Like I said minor comment. We'll definitely be back to this house in the future!

Great Location, House Needs Work

First off, the location could not be better! Clear view of ocean from balcony, quick minute walk to the beach! House was big and easily accommodated our family of 7. Lots of stairs as house is 3 levels, no bathroom on main living area though. Kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, etc. doors were very hard to lock to the balconies which is a safety concern with children. Pocket door to two of the bedrooms did get stuck and was very hard to maneuver. Hot tub was not working and was dirty with hair and bottle caps. Also, would have been nice to have more instructions/book with information. 30 minutes to Monterey was great! Overall it was a great stay with an awesome location, house/cleaning needs some work

Gorgeous view- steps to the beautiful beach!

The house location is amazing!! The rooms are spacious and accommodating for 8-12 guests.Take note - if you have anyone with mobility issues. B gThere is no bathroom on the top main living floor (kitchen, dining and living room with the gorgeous views!) The floor you enter the home on is the middle floor with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The other 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are down stairs, along with the hot tub. Which, by the way, quit working after 5 minutes. The entire power shut down and wouldn’t come back on. That was a major disappointment because the hot tub was one of the reasons we chose this property. The host provides .

Beautiful place, not great management

Just spent two nights at this lovely condo. Beautiful view of the ocean, close to the beach and quiet. Plenty of room for our group- nice to have a large kitchen (though some items were dirty) and 4 bathrooms. Unfortunately, our experience with Vacasa, the property manager (not VRBO), was frustrating- receiving numerous texts from "bots" when all we wanted to do was talk to a live person (took time to accomplish).There were several maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. Although we received a response quickly, we had to wait around the next morning for someone to come. The repairman was friendly and fixed the issues - the problem was with Vacasa. Since we were only staying for 2 nights (1 full day), we felt it was appropriate for them to allow us to check out at 12:00, instead of 10:00 (since we lost time when we had to wait for the repairman). But they wouldn't allow us to check out even one hour later without paying a large fee (the fee if we stayed until 2:00). No guests were scheduled to stay at the place for another week, but they still said that they couldn't allow us to stay longer without a charge. It took many attempts to resolve this matter (texts and phone calls). The morning that we checked out, the person we finally reached on the phone could not get ahold of anyone at Vacasa to help us (their calls just went to voicemail). We will most likely avoid staying at places managed by Vacasa, as their inflexibility was frustrating.

Unreliable owner! Awful service!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with a Vrbo booking that was canceled on us the night before our trip, planned to celebrate my mom’s 96th birthday. With family traveling from multiple states, Vrbo suggested we find an alternate property. But since it was within 24 hours of our arrival, every option appeared unavailable on the site. Despite numerous calls and hours on the phone, we were left without a place to stay. The unreliability and lack of support from both the owner and Vrbo turned what should have been a joyful family gathering into a stressful ordeal. This experience has really shaken my trust in Vrbo.

Beautiful location !

The house is beautiful! On the beach. All 5 bedrooms are nice. No complains. The top floor is the main attraction. You can feel the mist. You can enjoy the sea from the patio. We were a group of 11 and each one of us enjoyed. The kitchen is beautiful. Equipped with whatever needed.

Fun at the Beach

It was a wonderful get-a-way for our family and a remembrance of coming to the beach at the Dunes often when our children and grandchildren were young. Great memories were made again now that they are mostly young adults. Thank you for the lovely home.

Great location, Nice Updates, A little Overpriced

Overall, no complaints - the pictures are accurate and the location to the beach is hard to beat! The house definitely carries sound, not a deal breaker, just noticeable. The ocean views from the deck were lovely. We had a large group and rented a similar home nearby this same weekend to house our whole group and in comparison, that house was larger, more updated, and less than half of the cost of this property - so it made this one feel overpriced. That one also had more towels and kitchen amenities stocked for us which would have been nice to have for the price of this house. That said, when traveling in peak season I understand there is a higher price to pay sometimes. I felt Vacasa was communicative and reachable throughout our stay.

Great property. Awesome proximity to the beach, very close to fun excursions, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel, Wine tasting, etc. Heavy marine layer made for a cooler than expected retreat, we stayed in mid May. Would give higher rating, but a few details were lacking.

Perfect getaway close to the bay area

We have two young children and wanted to stay at the beach without having to drive too far - this place was perfect! Along with friend and family, we were all very comfortable in this home and enjoyed the holidays here.

Great location for annual friend getaway

Location is great -beautiful ocean view from top floor. Spacious kitchen. Dining room that seats 10. Living room couches and chairs accommodate 10 as well. The beds were comfortable. Hot tub was clean. Easy to use Weber grill. Not for people that have elderly or handicap people in their party since you have to go downstairs to get to a bathroom. We did have a water heater pipe issue the day we arrived but the Vacasa team handled it quickly.

Beautiful Place BUT Terrible On-site Management/ Repair Team

This property is beautiful - close to beach - ocean view - kitchen/ family room was terrific for bonding and cooking- had a wonderful time w family BUT a few amenities that forced us to change our agenda - None of the TVs were working when we got there. Called Vacasa every single day asking when someone would come fix it - No response - the local manager (Roxanne) just showed up in the morning when we were leaving to get the kids out - she said okay she’ll come back and to call her when we come back and she’ll come back to fix TV. We called her and she never answered text or calls. Call Vacasa to complain - they said they could t contact the manager either and that they would call me back - I called Vacasa everyday for the repairs to TV to no avail. The 2nd day we also found out that the Jacuzzi wasn’t working. An error was coming on the screen and would not come on. These amenities that weren’t working were the main reasons why we rented this property. Vacasa stated that they would compensate a partial refund due to non working amenities - but must be approved by local manager. We were denied. No communication - no repair or handyman available to help us - we were left like that with no TV and Jacuzzi .I forwarded the texts between me and Roxanne - her apologizing stating that she was off for 2 days and sorry her friend was suppose to call me back on my complaint - never did. I also sent Vacasa the screen prints of all the times I called her. Disappointing. Going to court.

Great location

The house is in a great location. The beds and bathrooms were very clean. Remember to take toiletries as the ones provided are some kind of powder. One Bathroom did not have hand washing soap. Kitchen had enough plates and silverware for 10. No wine glasses. Had a new set of pots and pans still in the original box which was great. We really enjoyed our stay.

The place was beautiful. The location was fantastic everything that was written was accurate.

Everything was fantastic except for one issue. We had heating difficult to eat in one room and it took multiple phone calls to resolve it. Other than that it was a fantastic, beautiful, beautiful place.

Close to beach, great kitchen for cooking

The unit is about as close to the beach as you can get, which was great with our group of kids and elders. The balcony has a little view of the beach which was lovely backdrop for eating outside. The upper floor is larger than it looks in the pictures - very comfortable for a group to spread out to cook, eat, watch tv, play games, etc all at the same time in some spot. Kitchen stocked with plenty of cooking and serving items if you are cooking for a bunch of people. It truly is 3 tall floors - our elders got the largest rooms on the entry level that was only 1 flight below the living/common upstairs and the rest of us crammed into the smaller lowest level rooms - we felt like it was a stair master vacation. The basic consumables that sometimes other places are missing were available - dish soap, laundry soap, tp, paper towels, soap/shampoo/conditioner, etc. which was appreciated. We did have some irritating problems with some plumbing right off the bat that took some time to resolve, but that did get fixed.

Is most amazing place for families

I will be honest When booking this place I didn't realize that Watsonville had such an amazing property it was not only perfect for myself but perfect for all my family members who range in age from 3 years old all the way to adults the rooms are planned out amazingly with privacy. The place was clean the pictures don't do it Justice and the private beach was the best surprise of all

Spacious and Nice - Cypress Townhouse 18

Great townhouse! Plenty of room for all and the views are wonderful. This unit is tastefully decorated and the kitchen is well outfitted for cooking meals.
