We stayed at this lovely lake view location for the Ironman 70.3 Maine. It was very easy to get into Augusta and surrounding towns and we greatly enjoyed the charming town of Wayne. It was so pleasant to sit out on the deck over looking the lake and fall asleep to the loon songs each night. We would happily stay here again!
Positives- clean, privacy, price, comfortable beds, master bath, fully equipped home with AC. Also a nice front deck for morning coffee. Responsive host, easy to communicate with. Negatives- older(1987?) Cluttered home with old sitting furniture inside. Very small view of the lake which is across the street and down a long driveway from the house.
Overall- it matched what we needed for a weekend family getaway. Pleasant stay
We used to live in Vermont and now live on the West Coast. It was magic to re-live the memories of constant weather changes, lush greenery, and fresh grown food.
The house is well situated with a lake view, close to the local village with its services, and comfortably furnished.
It would not be highly recommended for families with small children because of numerous attractive ornaments. Great for older guests. Constant hot water, everything works, comfortable beds and seating, lots of surrounding wild life.
A relaxing and memorable stay. Bill.
Great location, easy to walk to the General Store, Tubby’s and Farmer’s Market. From Wayne, it’s an easy drive to the coast or to the mountains for a hike. The house is clean and lots of room, as well as a spacious front deck looking out over Androscoggin Lake.
Property owner was very helpful, house was very nice and perfectly located for the places we needed to see. Never been to that part of Maine, very pleasant little town too. Would stay here again.
The house was just as advertised, clean, great location and a responsive owner. It had everything one would need for a long weekend. We were informed by the owner of a Strawberry Festival and it was a perfect addition to our weekend stay for a family wedding. Adorable Maine town!
The house was clean except the couch which was full of old dust but was covered with a clean cover. The dust made it not a pleasant place to sit. If you love antiques it is FULL of nice old furniture. There were 3 adults in our group for three days and we were not there much during the day so we slept just fine!
