"We loved the complementary breakfast, which had a diversity of options, and was well cared for by the hotel staff. Rooms were small and basic but comfortable. Hotel was conveniently located a short walk from the train station, bus station, grocery store, restaurants, and the main shopping district downtown. Recommended."

"Should have been told it was not a hotel. Difficult to check in. Did not receive how to get Key to room instructions before I arrived or instructions on how to check out. "We had a lovely stay at Hotel Schlosspalais! The hotel was quaint, warm and welcoming, with a beautiful view of Wernigerode Castle right from our room. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the charming old town with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. Breakfast was delicious and the service was wonderful throughout our stay. A lovely place to stay while visiting Wernigerode!"

"Best beds so far in Europe. It is an old mansion, not in perfect shape. Rooms are old high ceiling rooms with great modern beds. The area is really quite. Exterior could be improved, natural way from parking consists of climbing over a wall."
