The Captain Stannard was a wonderful place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were nicely decorated with wonderful sheets (the same sheets we use at our home).

Nearly everything was perfect. After a long night of flying from California and the “joy” of driving out of JFK and through heavy traffic in NYC, we were grateful to see this lovely B&B. Even more grateful when you let us check in a few hours early! The Guillford room was just what we needed after all that. Thanks for the Little Pub recommendation, too. The only issue was the very brightly lit clock next to the bed, but my comfy eye shade took care of it. Thanks for everything!

This Inn was updated, and had nice perks like free beach pass parking, free bikes to tour area and decent continental bfast to get your day started. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Since the TV is in the 1 st floor living room, (with an abundance of board games) there wasn't any ambient TV noise through the walls or in the halls. A great feature for light sleepers. Bring a book or your I Pad, if you need to zone out.

Room was tight. Bed seemed to be a double instead of a queen. Bathroom fan needs replaced. Loud. Reported to owner. Breakfast is confusing as the brochure shows full style but continental was only offering. Otherwise, adequate and comfortable.
