We had a very enjoyable stay at Oglebay Resort. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, with plenty to do for families and couples alike. The atmosphere is relaxing and feels like a true getaway, especially with the scenic views and outdoor spaces. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. While some areas could use minor updates, the overall experience was excellent and we would definitely return

Wonderful place for Christmas that feels like a Christmas Hallmark Moive. Cozy areas with multiple fire places. Lots of families. It's our annual family tradition to visit in December for the holidays.

Breakfast buffet was wonderful and included made to order eggs, which were fantastic. My wife and I really enjoyed the steakhouse called Trace. In fact, we ate there twice. A little bit pricey, but worth it. As for our room, it was fantastic. We even had our very own fireplace, which was most romantic. This is an awesome resort for a little getaway.

Check in was a breeze and since we were traveling with our pup, she made sure we had a courtyard room. Very clean and staff was friendly. We had the dinner buffet which was delicious and enjoyed the complimentary hot coca and music. Of course the Festival of Lights was fantastic! We will be back.

It was a great place to stay. They staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. There are many activities to be had by people of all ages. The room was very clean. The facility is beautiful. And they have a wonderful indoor Pool and two wonderful restaurants. The Walking, trails are Fantastic and You Feel Like You Are Walking Inside a postcard , the golf course is of prime quality. There are other activities like the zoo which has amazing exotic, almost extinct animals that I have not seen in any other zoo. They have very nice pickle ball and tennis courts. The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the construction of the building is mostly oak.

Oglebay Resort is a lovely facility but their staffing and room cleaning procedures need major attention. Our room was not cleaned and available until 5:40 PM! This is not acceptable. Tracey, the front desk staff member was wonderful in working to solve the problem which was not of her making. She provided a free buffet breakfast coupon for the two of us, 2 gift packs with car passes for the Light Festival, an upgraded room and Christmas ornaments as well as a a complimentary night's stay in the future. I truly hope this problem will be permanently resolved for my next stay.
