Photos online really don’t do the property justice. Much bigger than expected. Well presented and great for a cosy retreat. Host was amazing and let the kids feed the lambs on the farm. Will definitely be back.
Stayed here Fri- Monday for our annual girls trip! We were all absolutely over the moon with the house! The photos don’t actually do it justice. It’s warm, cosy, homely, spacious, comfortable, extremely well equipped, has wonderful views, amenities very close by although we tend to take everything we need and cook! Location is fantastic and even had a welcome basket on arrival which was a beautiful touch! Comfortable beds, lots of room for friends/ families. Will definitely be returning! Thank you so much Becky :)

A fabulous cottage for a family celebrating a special birthday! Lots of space, lovely and warm, thoughtful welcome pack. We used the park and ride to get into Whitby, £5 for a family. Will definitely visit again!
A spacious, well supplied, clean and very inviting property. The views were lovely and I've never stayed in accommodation that was so peaceful.
Our youngest party member (4) virtually demanded that her father buy the cottage so they could live there!
Simply stunning, very enjoyable from beginning to end. Children had a wonderful time and were thrilled to be invited by owners Louis and Becky for evening visits to the lambing shed to help feed newborns.

Despite rain, snow and hail over the New Year, we had a brilliant holiday on our 2nd visit to Mortar Barn. Becky is incredibly helpful and friendly, and she even arranged for the kids to be able to feed one of of their lambs which they loved.
We would thoroughly recommend this location to anyone.

Excellent weeks stay.
Excellent weeks stay.
Welcoming and pleasant host’s with a property they should be proud of.
We were only two couples so had lots of space in a property designed to sleep 8 but even 8 would enjoy the openness of the build.
Sorry for docking you a point on equipment but we couldn’t find egg cup's. I guess I could have asked though.
I have been taking holidays like this for many years and once managed a portfolio of properties in Fowey Cornwall.
Mortar Barn would be in my top 5.
Well done folks.

We stayed at Mortar Barn as a last minute trip due to our holiday to Spain being cancelled.
We stayed at Mortar Barn as a last minute trip due to our holiday to Spain being cancelled. The barn is immaculate and spacious. Becky and Louis have thought of everything. There is everything and more in the kitchen that you need, travel cot and mattress for a baby, even a baby gate and puppy pen if needed. We were blown away with the 2 fresh bouquets of flowers in the barn on our arrival as well as the basket of treats left for us too. The view of Whitby from the barn is stunning and Becky even let our son go see her farm animals while we were there. My only slight negative is that the gate around the garden is very open, and therefore wasn't secure enough to let our dogs out without a lead but we obviously managed! Everything was wonderful and we will definitely come back. Only suggestion to make it even better, would be a hot tub outside the living room doors overlooking Whitby

Stayed for a long weekend recently with my family - five adults, four children and a dog in total. All of us were so impressed by the stunning accommodation, views and little added touches such as fresh flowers. The accommodation is modern and spotless but also has a homely feel. Ample space for us all and we cannot wait to come back! Owners are very friendly and welcoming they spent time to talk to the children about the animals. Worth every penny. Only small criticism is the garden had metal fencing with gaps around but our dog is very young and therefore not as obedient so for us a more secure boundary would have been better cannot fault anything else though!

This place was wonderful.
This place was wonderful. We had a lovely stay. The owners had thought of everything, hairdryers, safety gate, highchair, fireguard and everything for the kitchen. It's the best place we have stayed in.
