A luxury 5 bedroom coastal cottage spread over 3 floors with 4 bathrooms and a seperate WC. Sleeps 10/12 people.
The decor has a modern rustic feel with all the added luxuries, TV/DVD player in all the bedrooms.
Situated minutes to the beach, a local pub and golf course across the road and within walking distance to Whitby Harbour.
Great for walking, family, relaxing and golfing holidays.
Pets welcome
There are 2 bedrooms and a sharing bathroom on the first floor, 2 En suite bedrooms, a large living area and utility room on the ground floor and 1 ensuite bedroom, a kitchen and a large dining room on the lower floor with a cloakroom and seperate WC on the lower ground floor
Outside the cottage can be accessed from the ground and lower ground floor.
There are lawned gardens to the front and side of the cottage and a patio/ bbq at the rear.
There is a drive at the side of the cottage with parking for 2 cars and plenty of on street parking.

We stayed as a parry of 9 adults to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. We had a wonderful stay. I got a text from Jill to say the house was ready around 3 hours before check-in time which was a great start. The house is super easy to find and is in a fabulous location. In a lovely quiet street with the cliff walk and a sea view at the end. You walk into the kitchen which along with the rest of the house is spotless, homely and inviting. We spent a lot of time round the large kitchen table. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could think of. All the bedrooms were comfortable with lovely clean linens and the bathrooms were spotless with great showers. It was great having the kitchen space but also a 2nd floor room with lots of seating options and a large tv. The house has been decorated to a very high standard and it all felt very roomy. We didnt use the garden due to the weather which was a shame. I would recommend this house to anyone and would love to return one day.

Lovely Stay Near Beach and Town

We very much enjoyed our stay in Whitby, the house had enough space for 3 generations to cohabit without killing each other lol. The house is well equipped and nice to have rooms accessible without having to take a lot of stairs. Location is perfect for walking into town or the beach as long as you don’t mind a hike back up or several sets of stairs but there are options to get there is you have more limited mobility.

We all had a fabulous week at Misty cottage celebrating my 50th . 3 generations of family and a dog. Plenty of space for everyone, a very well equipped kitchen , all bedrooms beautiful. Great location, few minutes from the beach , 20 min walk into Whitby and a pub next door. Will definitely recommend this place, a great place to stay

Family holiday

The house suited us perfectly: the location is close to the sea with lovely views; the standard of the rooms, facilities etc is outstanding; the host was very helpful. A particularly nice touch is that there was coffee, fruit, a bottle of wine, cakes and biscuits, which made us feel very welcome.We all had a wonderful time even though though the weather wasn't great for the last few days. We'd like to come again next year.

Whitby gathering

Misty Cottage lived up to expectations, a beautiful place with all amenities and in a fantastic spot a stones throw from the coastal path into Whitby centre. The layout suited our family party perfectly, the kitchen & dining space were especially good together

Family trip

3 generations (6 adults) and the dog, lovely place, plenty room for everyone. Whitby has plenty to do and is very dog friendly. We ate twice at the Inn across the road. There is little mention of the dog secure back garden, it’s small but there is a deck and seating. Plenty movies and games too. Everything was lovely and we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Misty Cottage

We had an amazing week at Misty Cottage over the Christmas week. The cottage was fully equipped and gave 3 generations the space that was needed. The bedroom off the kitchen was perfect for nanny who often wakes early and needs a cuppa and the double and twin rooms on the top floor felt like a little private flat. All rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. What stands out for us is the location. With Whitby town and the beach on your doorstep it was perfect for our dog walks and exploring Whitby itself. We had a wonderful Christmas and look forward to returning to Whitby to explore some more.

Misty Cottage

Beautiful house and in a superb location. The only gripe we had was when we did half of the cleaners job by stripping all the bedding off prior to checking out, it revealed the stains on the mattress covers from previous visitors. There was also quite a lot of dust and cobwebs. None of this spoiled our stay but as a Premier Host we would have expected better.

Very well placed property between Whitby and Sandsend. Excellent walking. Very quiet. Spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds. Well equipped and relaxing. Highly recommend a stay here.

Our third stay here, near beach and Whitby. Plenty of off street parking. Great garden, next to the White House Inn. Everything is of a very high standard, great beds and bedding. Highly recommended

Lovely cottage and area

9 of us (6 adults and 3 children ages bet 12 & 15) had a lovely time in Whitby staying in this lovely cottage with lots of space for family. Right by a beach, and an easy 1 mile distance/walk into Whitby which we explored several times. We were also not far from Sandsend beach which we loved! We went on the Whitby to Pickering steam train, stopping at Goathland, went up the 199 step to the Abbey, visiting the lovely Whitby brewery. and did the ghost tour/walk in Whitby. Well recommend Runswick bay and Staithes too! We ate out at The Whitehouse Inn next door, and had a lovely experience at the Fish Cottage celebrating my mum's 80th birthday. Thank you for being so accommodating to our needs, which made our stay more pleasurable. We hope to visit the area again some time in the future!

Superb Accommodation

A very well appointed house which met all our needs. Misty Cottage is a beautiful place which we booked to celebrate a birthday. The bedrooms were beautiful with very comfy beds. The kitchen is very well presented and had all the equipment you would need to prepare and cook food. There is an Aldi supermarket close by if you need provisions. It’s about a 15 minute scenic walk along the cliff top into Whitby and the harbour. We enjoyed this walk each day and walked back along the promenade and beach which the kids loved. The patio area outside is great for warm evenings and there is a charcoal bbq if you wanted it. We hoped to use it but sadly the weather wasn’t kind to us on the day we planned it. The lounge area has plenty seating for everyone but we also made good use of the large dining table where we sat and ate and played games etc. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay again.

Excellent Stay

The property is exceptional with very high quality finishes throughout and very well equipped you will want for nothing. The bed linen and towels are all of a very good quality it’s better than staying in a 5 star hotel.

Great location

We had a super stay and it was ideal for our mixed family group. Very well equipped and beautifully appointed. Our only disappointment was the lack of the BBQ as we had meals planned and food bought! After discussion with the host we bought a small BBQ which we have left at the property so that no one else will be in our position!
