What struck me first was the happy and helpful staff. If I had any questions or requests, the staff cheerfully helped me. The motel was very well maintained, clean, and well appointed. Breakfast was great and the dining area was spotlessly maintained by energetic staff members. It was a great stay.

Although a little older, this hotel was perfect for our short stay in Traverse City. The walls, carpet and bedding in our room were all new and you could tell they were updating the furnishing as they were able throughout the hotel. The bathroom and desk/closet area were older and well used, but the room was very clean. Breakfast was pretty standard (waffles, eggs, cereal, fruit) but the staff overseeing breakfast was very attentive and eager to help. The best part of this hotel was its location across the street from the bay. There were several Adirondack chairs set out in front of the hotel so guests could watch the beautiful sunset over the east bay. Also very dog friendly with a dog water bowl in the lobby.

My husband and I were there for 2 nights. Our room was clean, the lady at the desk was wonderful and the breakfast was great along with the very kind man who ran it. We enjoyed the hot tub both nights too. There was a barking dog issue on our floor and the desk clerk handled it immediately and it was resolved which was much appreciated. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

Clean bedroom and facilities. Nice breakfast including biscuits and gravy! Welcoming staff. The pool area had some maintenance work going on but pool and hot tub were open. We liked the side deck and fireplace where you can see the sunset from. Better than expected for the price!

The advertisement on Expedia was very misleading. It shows chairs ON THE BEACH and this is not true. I was very disappointed upon arrival to find it is across the busy street and not on the lake! The room was fine - the staff was fantastic. But it's not something I would book again.
