Escape with six of your loved ones to this fabulous, spacious cottage, located down a quiet lane in the rural village of Troutbeck. Head off on foot from the doorstep and explore the many footpaths and bridleways that wind through the Lake District National Park countryside and towards some of the superb attractions nearby. Summit the imposing Wansfell Pike (1.5 miles) or visit the cascading Stock Ghyll Force (2.5 miles) accessed through a scenic, wooded ravine. Head south to the shores of Lake Windermere and the popular market town of Ambleside (3.5 miles). Here, you will find several shops and restaurants to peruse, as well as a marina that offers boat trips across the lake to the historic Wray Castle.
From the outside, this quaint whitewashed cottage sits among a terrace. Shake off your walking boots and coats in the hall before heading into the large, contemporary kitchen/diner. This bright and colourful space features everything you need, to create culinary delights, whether it is easy breakfasts or tasty dinners. A dining table sits in front of a large window and patio doors, where you can soak up the views as you tuck into your food. The sumptuous lounge boasts traditional features such as a wooden beam along the ceiling and a warming wood burner. Curl up on the comfortable sofas to reflect on the day’s events and plan the next day’s adventures. A handy WC completes the ground floor. When you are ready for some well-deserved sleep, climb the stairs and choose from one of the three bedrooms. The first is an opulent bedroom with a sumptuous super-king bed and an en-suite bathroom, complete with a shower and a wonderful roll-top bath. The two further bedrooms both have king-size beds and pretty views. The family bathroom also features a lovely roll-top bath and a separate shower.
Outside, the garden is fully enclosed, making it dog-friendly, and has panoramic views towards the rolling hills. There is a lawn space as well as a patio area, which features a table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining. There is parking for 2 cars with an EV charger to the rear of the property.
