luxurious log cabin with plenty of space to enjoy

What a gem to find near Yosemite! There were 14 of us staying for a wedding and this home was able to accomodate us all comfortably. The home was exactly as listed - beautifully decorated, as well as clean, stocked, and surrounded by nature with amazing views. Plus, plenty of space for everyone to park! Kim was quick to respond and extremely reasonable in their expectations in sharing their home. We're grateful we could stay, and would highly recommend!

Awesome Experience!

This was our first ALL FAMILY vacation and we couldn't have picked a more perfect location. Moosehead Lodge was all we could have hoped for. Kim was wonderful… responding promptly to all of my questions and was a true pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, our group totaled 14 and I expect it will be growing so we will need to find another place close by to accommodate any extras because we definitely want to come back here!

Felt like home

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and has views to the mountains in all areas of the home. As soon as you walk in entrance to living room area, with antler chandelier hanging from above, and enough room in the kitchen/living room for at 16 of us to hang out. The rooms/beds were cozy and was quiet enough for our two infants to sleep even with the family playing music. We played outside most of the time with deers constantly coming by the house to eat the grass that is in front of the cabin. I definitely recommend this cabin if you are looking to build some memories with your family. Other than the cabin we were only 20min from bass lake, 35 min to find, and 2 hours from Yosemite village/National park. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

Gorgeous cabin !!!

This beautiful cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. First of all, Kim,our hostess,was the most attentive and responsive owner we ever had while traveling with VRBO ! We stayed over Christmas week and made the most amazing memories. The cabin was specious,spotless and had plenty of room for 4 families,2 small children, our big Christmas tree and lots of presents :) There were games in the cabin for adults and toys for kids to play with. We had so much fun and much needed family bonding time. There is a terrace around the entire house with amazing views to enjoy while having a glass of wine next to the outdoor fireplace. Bass lake is close enough that we all walked there hoping to lose those extra pounds after our big holiday meal. We drove to Yosemite park where kids had a blast playing in the snow. The kitchen and dining room are well designed to give plenty of space to cook and gather together for family dinners. Kim, thank you for your hospitality and for making us all feel so welcomed !!!

Nice cabin and close to Bass Lake

The first thing I want to say is that there is only one TV in the entire house with no regular or basic cable channels. So if you want to watch a football game, golfing event or something else, you are out of luck. And if you have children, the lack of TV’s might be a problem as well unless you like to watch cartoons. This will prevent us from staying here next time or I’ll have to bring one with me next time. Now with the good. The cabin is good size. We had 12 people in our group and we never felt cramped and there was ample space for everyone. The kitchen was nice and clean. All the rooms appear to be about the same size which is nice for multiple families. There is a bedroom area upstairs that has 5 small beds which is perfect for keeping the kids together. The location is at the end of a culdesac and has plenty of room for the kids to play in the yard. We saw deer and turkeys walking around the outside of the cabin. It is about a half mile from bass lake which is convenient. There is a nice little spot called millers landing which is good for grabbing something to eat or perhaps renting a boat as we did. Overall we had fun, the place was nice, clean and I would definitely recommend it.

Cabin Trip

Our family loves to get together for family trips. As our family is growing, it’s sometimes difficult to find a place that accommodates everyone. This home exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful, spacious, clean and overall welcoming. We loved the story behind the home and it made our trip that more special! Kim, the property manager was so sweet and reached out a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. I give this property 10/10 and would love visit again.

Moms Trip

A beautiful cabin with a great kitchen and dining area for family to enjoy. Kitchen was the best equipped rental I’ve ever been in. Living area was comfortable and spacious with great views. The quality of the log construction was amazing and created a very warm atmosphere. A great location between Yosemite and Sequoia and only 20 minutes from Oakhurst which has a very nice grocery store.

A wonderful stay!

Lovely spot for a family vacation

We had our family gathering at Moosehead Lodge and had such a wonderful time. The house is as-pictured in the photos. Comfortable even despite outside temperatures as high as the mid-90s. The living room was perfect for hanging out as a group (the couches feel like clouds)! Yosemite ended up being quite a long drive, which we did anyway. But the proximity to Bass Lake and Willow Creek for swimming made up for it. Highly recommend!

It was breathtaking, the home, the view, everything!

It was a seamless experience. Kim was exceptionally responsive to my many inquiries. She suggested we take the garbage to a location near the rental if possible, which we did, but we had to pay for that service and it wasn't that close as it didn't open until 9 am and we had to check out at 10 am. I suggest that information be made available so the renters can make an informed choice as to whether or not they want to drop off the garbage, or leave it in the laundry room for the cleaning service to remove. Thanks for the amazing memories Kim, we will never forget this experience!!!

Quiet get away from the city

This place was amazing 😊 its aesthetically pleasing, we like big kitchens so that was a plus, plenty of rooms to sleep, bathrooms was spotless, and every corner had a cute knick knack or phrase that uplifts you and makes you smile, everything was on point, you gotta visit this place.

A Christmas Holiday at Moosehead Lodge

We had a wonderful time spent with family at the Moosehead Lodge. There was plenty of room inside and outside for all the kids to play. The layout and amenities in the Kitchen were excellent. Everyone slept great on the beds. Very comfy! Above all, our favorite part was spending time in the large yet cozy living room every evening with the beautiful wood burning fireplace.

Thanks to Kim for being so communicative. We were delighted to have plenty of room and lots of activities indoors when smoke was too thick to venture out. The toy box was especially appreciated for youngest of our group. Loved the deer and wild turkeys that came right up to the cabin at dusk and dawn.

Great place for a family reunion!

The home was amazing! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and a big beautiful living room and kitchen to come together! The master shower and bath was the best!
