A Great Experience

Recently renovated and expanded this hotel offers first class accommodation to travellers. In the heart of town it is conveniently located and offers 12 car spaces at the rear of the property. Highly recommended.

Wismar is a friendly, beautiful little town, and wherever we turned people were helpful and happy to make your time special. The Hanse House (in English - don't know why) fits therefore right in: There are the little extras like the modern bicycles for just €15/day, a common / business meeting room with comfy sofas and free tea. Breakfast is standard and absolutely ok, but if you want something romantic and a bit special head to Cafe Glücklich, or for a nightcap around the corner micro - brewery Stuuv - quirky, decorated like a 80s living room (including working analog answering machine and phone) and playing German Schlager. Fresh Fischbrötchen (breadroll with raw or marinated herring - guaranteed to kill any hangover) from the market (Tue, Thu, Sat) or the harbour is a must. For dinner try Kutterkaten at the harbour (book a table!) which transforms the daily catch of the neighbouring fishers co-op into great dishes - it doesn't get fresher. And after dark hunt the old town for the locations of the world's first vampire movie, 1922s Nosferatu.

Coffee and water available around the clock

Wismar is a quaint town. Much of the charm is the beautiful architecture. Unfortunately, the mattresses are covered with plastic, so you’re sweating like crazy at night.

Sehr zentrale Lage. Etwas verwinkelt. Mein Zimmer war im Souterrain, direkt am Nachteingang und somit bei offenem Fenster (keine Klimaanlage) etwas laut. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Tolle Tipps für die Stadtbesichtigung. Gutes Frühstück, wobei es voll werden kann Zimmer sehr modern und sauber. Die Rainshower im Bad war grandios

Dejligt hotel lige midt i Altstad og skønt at opleve et personale der er så engageret i at give gæsterne et godt ophold. Hotellet byder på en skøn gårdhave og hvis vejret er dårlig er der mange hyggelig steder at opholde sig indendørs på hotellet, her skal især nævnes lounge på første sal. Morgenmaden er pragtfuld og særdeles velassorteret.

Ein wunderschönes und sehr freundliches Hotel. Wir waren ursprünglich 5 Tage haben aber noch 2 Tage verlängert weil wir in der Umgebung noch Unternehmungen machen wollten. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und vielfältig. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir fanden alles sehr familiär und würden jederzeit wieder in das Hotel zurückkehren wenn es nochmal nach Wismar geht. Wir können nur positiv berichten und bedanken uns ganz herzlich für die tolle Unterkunft.

Sehr gut geführtes Hotel in zentraler Lage. Ideal, um Wismar zu Fuß zu erkunden. Sehr aufmerksames und hilfsbereites Team. Kostenloses Wasser aus Spender (auch Sprudel) oder Tee/heißes Wasser den ganzen Tag verfügbar. Das Zimmer was zwar relativ klein, aber modern eingerichtet und tadellos. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zum Innenhof. Wenn niemand auf der Innenterasse sitzt, ist es sehr leise. Hängt natürlich von den Gästen am Abend ab… Kostenlose Parkplätze 15 Minuten Fussweg entfernt, kostenpflichtige Parkplätze am Hotel selbst. Das Hotel ist rundum empfehlenswert
